Thanks Dave. It feels very mild, along the lines of a Schick Krona but also shaves very close and comfortable. The head has a pivot feature very much along the lines of a Persona Floating Head Razor & tension is adjusted with the band spring you see on the bottom of the handle. When I first got it I shaved it with it with a head locked in place and it was okay, but every shave since I've used the pivot feature and they have been outstanding shaves. Here is an older post showing the pivot & patent info The Misfit Razor Thread I tried to show the minimal blade gap in following pics.

I remember hunting google for that picture. I try to find the perfumer and their picture. I'm probably WAY overboard in my postings as nobody probably cares who made the scent. I just like giving respect to creators of what I enjoy. Of course you like Clubman products. You're human. Who doesn't like them?

This looks like a razor I'd love to see fully restored by Razor Emporium. I wonder how 'new' and shiny they can make that look. And what it would look like with a mirror shine and plating or perhaps even a protective coating on the brass to maintain the mirror polish. Hmm....

Tim I think it’s pretty cool that you’re calling out the individuals who created the products you enjoy.

    Early morning shave,

Last outing of the Treet Trig silver Edge which performed wonderfully feeling smooth & efficient...The Erasmic Soap Bowl & Semogue 1470 both gave an admirably face lathering performance this morning providing me with slick protective lather in a short space of time. Leaving a wonderful post shave feel.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Cien Sensitive ASB.

    Razor: One Blade Core
    Blade: Feather
    Brush: JT Hybrid/Boar
    Soap: Highland Springs Forge
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Nivea Deep
    Fragrance: Paco Rabanne 1 Million
    Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,107

Figured I'd take the 3 new to me things for a spin. The soap was a nice scent but not what I expected but a nice bright scent. The slickness was extremely good. Even residual slickness had me grab a cloth to get traction on my neck when skin stretching. The Brush was a pleasure to use and comfortable in the handle. The knot is a little floppy for me but I adjusted technique and am very happy with it and the connection it gives me. The One Blade was easy to use and got me a close shave. Just on the fence about a razor that will train me to do the exact opposite of what we learn here about proper pressure. Had to really apply pressure to get it to cut for me. I'll need some more shaves with it and check on the blades availability and longevity. Very thankful for the new additions to the den and hope all have a great day !

Mike, that head design is virtually identical to the Fine Accoutrements’s “Marvel” razor. For $40, it’s a great little shaver.

SOTD THURSDAY MORNING, NOVEMBER 18, 2021

If you’ve ever heard the term ‘hidden gems’, then that’s an apt characterization of the two splendid shaving tools used in this morning’s shave. My software this morning was PAA Coconut Bay, an oldie but goodie pre-CK6 formulation soap that SWMBO can tolerate. The RazoRock Rubberset Synth is a great little brush and did a superb job, both generating and spreading the two types of lather I like, thin and watery for my mug, and thicker and more yogurty for the dome.

Despite several years of searching, I can find nothing on this wonderful little Lord 6/8 straight razor. It was my second straight razor acquisition. Its Art Deco look would seem to place it in the 20s or 30s, but I would welcome other information on this particular razor from any more knowledgeable shave brothers or sisters out there. The red coffin box is marked NY, NY and the blade was imported from Solingen, Germany. It’s a beautifully balanced little razor, and holds a great edge. Two and a half passes left my mug blissfully velveteen.

When Italian Barber first designed their “Lupo” as an improved CNC SS knockoff of the hallowed Wolfman WR1, it was initially rolled out a year or so ago with a dark DLC coating. Yours truly bought this one from their second batch release. They’re now well into the the second generation of this safety razor. Current offerings are uncoated with different gaps. This original razor has a narrow sweet spot like my AS-D2, and is a great noggin shaver. Two ATG passes and your happy narrator was back in the land of smooth velveteen bliss from noggin to shoulders.

RAZOR: Lord 6/8. (Mug), RazoRock DLC Coated Lupo (Dome)
    BLADE: Kai DE (3)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: RazoRock Rubberset Replica with Synth Knot
    SOAP: PAA Coconut Bay
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Thayers WH. Finished with Coconut Bay AS Splash.

    Cold Water Rinse
    3P Shave Soap
    Semogue 1305 Boar
    ENDGEM SPEED 3D
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Lustray Spice After Shave

Day 18 of 3D Printed Razor Month

The 3P Shave Soap lathered well with the Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the ENDGEM SPEED 3D Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
