My face is frozen and I mean FROZEN thanks to this Peppermint Latte soap and aftershave. The scent is so beautiful - it’s exactly what it implies - a delightful blend of peppermint and espresso coffee, the soap is tallow based so you get such thick, rich, creamy, SUPER SLICK lather with a POTENT menthol sensation, and such gentle, soothing, skincare. The Prep as always gave me so much postshave love, and the Peppermint Latte aftershave’s witch hazel formula went on frigidly cold, it never stings or burns, and that beautiful scent lasts all day. Three glorious passes gave me a most enjoyable BBS shave!

Sunday Schick shave, November 6th 2022

Razor : Schick E2 Canadian variant, Mfg 1930's, mid range, this razor is well constructed, built to last with some care, very enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (10) sharp & smooth with excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Tossed at 10 shaves seems to work for myself.
Soap : Razorock American barber, strong barber shop scent 6-7/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Ferrari" 24 mm bleached boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristles , great splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock American barber AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Great shave with my Schick E2 with a Personna coated blade. Blade was showing signs of dullness so tossed.

Razor: Merkur 23c // Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium // Soap: Soap Commander Drive // Brush: Shavemac 173 Synthetic // Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

What a shave…the soap arrived on Friday and is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!

Smells like a Bootstore on a grassy hill. The Vetiver adds some freshness to the scent. Great great scent.

Typical for Soap Commander is the fantastic lather. A 30 second load with my Shavemac Synthetic was all i needed to have a fantastic 2,5 pass shave.

I am not 100% BBS but i was not reaching for it so, all is good. The razor did a mighty fine job with the blade. The Alumblock did not sting at all. A healthy splash of this lovely smelling Aftershave and i was totally fine. Great shave.

With this suprising summer weather I probably should have gone with something cooler, but I went with Sir Hare soap(Alpha-Tobacco&Vanilla) and Stoylin Unscented A.S. It was a nice shave. 2 passes. No cuts, a Knick, and no polka-dots. It will be warm again tomorrow, so I reached into the back of the Den for a cooler, more comfortable shave for tomorrow. Nothing glacial, but it'll be OK. You'll see my choice in a different post. But as for today-Pretty Excellent.

As if yesterday’s shave wasn’t frigid enough this one was even more frigid - my brother Fernando’s Frosted Lavender soap and aftershave are two menthol atom bombs with the most gorgeous lavender scent I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. The soap is tallow based like all of his soaps, the lather whips up so thick, rich, SUPER SLICK, and protective, the menthol sensation is so friggin intense that it easily competes with any of the Stirling Glacials, and the skincare is perfect. The Thayer’s Lavender witch hazel has almost no scent but it does such a fantastic job of soothing my skin, the Prep needs no explanation because it’s so awesome, and the Frosted Lavender aftershave is also witch hazel based like all of Fernando’s aftershaves, it smells as beautiful as the soap, and the menthol kick that it gives is off the charts. The Astra Green blade is still holding up so it helped me achieve a magnificent three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!
