The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick E3 Injector Razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

OMG, this Vintage Spice soap and aftershave……WOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely friggin LOVE them - my brother Fernando is such a soap and aftershave master. As I’ve said so many times - the scent of this stuff is IDENTICAL to the Shulton Old Spice in every way - it’s so gorgeous. The soap’s tallow formula gives it such magnificent lather with lots of slickness, and you can’t get better skincare. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it doesn’t crap up the beautiful scent of the soap, and it works great as a balm, and the Vintage Spice aftershave is witch hazel based so it doesn’t sting or burn not to mention that the delightful scent lasts all day. This Astra Green blade gave me one last hoorah with a splendid three pass BBS shave that was such a pleasure from start to finish!

ASRazor shave, Tuesday, November 8th 2022, Election day in USA!

Razor : Ever-Ready streamline 2nd generation- Mfg 1949-53, upper mid range, one of the nicest looking ASR razors and well built to last with some care. The blade stops are set forward more than other ASR razors that hold a Gem blades to create more blade feel. Installed a RIGS shim to smooth it out a little more. Very easy going shave with a blade on 10 uses.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle IMO.
Soap : Razorock Irish Country side, nice unique sharp clean scent with excellent lather qualities. Very slick soap.
Brush : Yaqi "black marble" 24mm silver tip badger, WoW hair bloom, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very fine hairs that give a gentle smooth face feel.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish country side with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Ever-Ready Streamline with a coated Gem blade.

It's been a while...I been keeping busy working on a few projects in the garage and working on my wood for wither heating. I have the tractor all set for winter. I added a work light for the back (wiring that was fun!) and I changed the oil & filter. I also had to get in as many rides on the bike as I can. I have it parked for the winter now up on it's lift-jack. I went for the last ride on last Saturday when it was 70 degrees. I got rained on but, it wasn't bad. Bike is filthy now but, the hose is already put away. I also have started shaving every 2 or 3 days. Today was a pleasant one. Cold morning so I used the scupper mug filled with HOT water. I am still waiting for the shave mug that I ordered back in late August. They make them as the orders come in. Soon I hope!

Showered once I got the house warmed (it was 30 degrees here this morning) filled scupper up with hot water and warmed the brush while I bloomed the soap. It is so nice using the warm lather. The Treet blades are good too. It had been a while since I had used the R89 Twist and it was very pleasant 2-pass shave with clean-up on my neck. Alum bar was silent but, I did nick myself under my nose! I realy like the scent of the soap and after shave. Very nice scent for voting and then heading to the senior center for breakfast and music.

I would say 5 out of 5 for the shave in spite of the nick. Theo didn't watch me this morning. I think he is bored with that now...

Would you guys believe that I paid about $2 for this Junjie razor? I bought it at a dollar store here in town a few years ago and I’m really pleased with it. It’s made in China and although it’s relatively mild it’s a very efficient DE so with a good blade like an Astra Green great results will be had. Fernando’s Cherry Freeze soap is something else - it has a most delicious scent, it’s tallow based so you’ll get such thick, rich, creamy, SUPER SLICK, protective lather, the menthol sensation is strong enough to satisfy my cravings, and you can’t get better skincare. The Prep always gives me such wonderful postshave care, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave has that gorgeous old school barbershop scent that I love so much as well as a terrific menthol kick. Three passes eliminated all my tough stubble and left me totally BBS - what a spectacular shave this was!
