    Hi Friends,

Here my Shave of the Day (09.11.2022)

    A6FFD208-52E7-4DAC-98AB-9786EF53D359.jpeg
Razor: Karve Brass OC with C-plate // Blade: Gillette Wilkinson India // Soap: Taconic Urban Woods // Brush: RazoRock Disruptor // Aftershave: Agua Brava

Today i had my very first contact with the products of Taconic. In this case „Urban Woods“. A nice, fresh woodsy scent. Notes of wood mixed with some Citrus. At least for my nose. Good one.

The cream is a bit on the harder side, which i like. So i watered the brush, shook most of the water out so my brush was a bit more than damp.

Loaded for about 20 seconds which seemed to be sufficient. The lather was quite fluffy, a bit airy maybe, had not so much volume as i like it to have for my lather.

The first strokes were good. No more, no less. It has a good glide but for me the cushion is missing a bit. Maybe i had still too much water in the brush. This will be tested in the future…

After 2 passes plus minor touch ups i was done. No nicks, cuts, weepers or anything negativ to my skin.

What remains to be said as a summary? The razor worked well with the blade, the Aftershave smelled outstanding. The Cream…hmmmm…fact is, that Taconic is not up to the Elite of the US-Artisans such as PAA, Soap Commander, Mike ´s Natural Soaps etc.

Just for my liking…i like the lather to be a bit „richer“, thicker with more volume. The lather wasn’t bad, enough glide was there, but compared to the mentioned top US-Artisans it is still in a different league. I am glad that i got it for a very little amount of money but i will not buy another one.

    Overall a „good“ shave,

Take your time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Kept going with the New Deluxe for one more day. Changed the rest of the gear to what is in the pic. Thought today might be the end of the soap, but alas it will need one more lather to finish it off.
    Have a great day all!

    Shaving recipe for today.

    Pre:

Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Frank Shaving 22mm Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Cream.

Razor: Ming Shi 2000s. (Settings): 3-wtg,4-pick-ups.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. / Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /P&G Hawkridge ASL. /Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

    Greetings,

    Early Morning Shave,

Another very eclectic assortment of shaving diversity to finish my shaving week off wonderfully.

The very assertive Ming Shi 2000s paired together with the T7DP wonderfully still feeling smooth & efficient on its 4th outing.

My re-acquaintance with the Treet T7DP blades over the last two weeks has been a very pleasant experience. I have mentioned in many of my postings that sub-continent shaving products don't get the recognition they rightly deserve.

I intend to continue with various other Treet DE blades for the rest of the month. Carrying on with the Treet Dura sharp with my next week's SOTD set up.

Another very comfortable close 2 pass + pick-ups shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small dollops of Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool & smelling divine. ;)

Keep safe and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
