Shave 6 on this Latvian Razor. Butter smooth 2 pass shave, with BDBS results. It mowed the 4 days growth down, like it wasn't there. I cannot say enough good things about this razor. Zero issues. I've been using some DE razors lately, and it feels good, to get a really smooth close shave again. With a proper razor.

Razor- RigaRazor 15/16th. Made in Latvia.
Brush- @Jayaruh JR#262. Birdseye Maple and Ebony wood. Silvertip Badger Knot.
Soap- ARKO. Super slick.
Aftershave- Florida Water. For some good dreams.

Prep: Warm shower:/Nivea Men Power 24H Fresh Effect Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Wrights Coal Tar Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 11047 'Mixed Midget' Badger/Boar.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap. (no.3)
Razor: Merkur 34C. (Face) - Lord Silver Star. (D1)
Razor: Supply V2 (**) base plate. (Head) - Personna Injector PTFE. (D4)

Post:
Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face &head Rinse./Alum Rub./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB./Ard Al Zafran Dirham Oud EDP.

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...

The HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap. (no.3) with Lavender & May Chang is another soap that I've infrequently added to my rotation which is a joy to use providing a slick protective lather. The zesty citrus scent from the May Chang is a wonderful addition to the Lanolin Soap recipe.

Everything in my shave set up worked together excellently resulting in a comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small squirts of Ard Al Zafran Dirham Oud EDP to the chest and pulse points.

My face & precious swede are both feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

I agree with you on that. Shulton made Old Spice a world classic that I loved so much. P&G almost destroyed it. Now: Master Soap Creations has their Vintage Spice soap and aftershave that’s an absolute carbon copy of the Shulton Old Spice scent wise - a perfect substitute.

This 7 AM blade…..hmmmmmmmm……I don’t know - it’s getting quite dull now and I’m beginning to doubt that it’ll be able to last through tomorrow morning’s shave. My dear brother Abir’s Retro Barbershop soap has such a beautiful old school scent that I love so much, it lathers beautifully, and it’s chock full of soothing skincare. The Rockwell balm (made here in Canada!) smells so much like Abir’s soap, and it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and I really enjoy the Brut occasionally. Miraculously enough I had a great three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

I'm almost 2 weeks into a full beard because my new barber also does the old style wet shave, he says. Haircut appointment is in 2 weeks, he said he can shave me too. This'll be my first.

The Palmolive Shaving Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #71 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the H. Böker 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I don't trust anyone with a Straight Razor, on my face.

 

Well I definitely don't trust myself with one.

DE SOTD, Saturday, November 11th 2023 Remembrance day for the fallen!

Razor : Yaqi Chrome Mercury razor with a RR UFO handle- Mfg 2022>, mild to tame mid range. Simple head design that is accurately manufactured when shaving both sides of head when turned 180 degrees(feels accurate). Chrome Finish is outstanding for a Zamak chromed head IMO. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette 7 oClock SP, sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade of my top 6 favorites.
Soap : Razorock XXX, nice unique clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly pillow soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my better 3band silvertip brush I have concluded.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Chrome Mercury razor with a Black 7oClock SP.
