Love the V3 standard. It was actually the original aluminum Silver Satin Hawk that got me hooked on AC razors. Sadly, the V3 OC was too much for me.

 

Love it Guy. I thought I answered this. Maybe not.

 

Glad to hear you like it. I pulled the trigger and bought another Henson, this time in the med aggressive to compare against my aggressive Hensons.

The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Razorock Black Hawk razor and a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Holy Icicles Batman - this Glacial Electric Sheep is one helluva face freezer with a beautiful scent, terrific lather with so much slickness thanks to the mutton tallow formula, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is superb just like all of Rod’s soaps. The Prep, together with the Rubby Dubby Doo completed the job perfectly. Finally the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready to enjoy another relaxing day of retirement. This was another great three pass BBS shave that was so much fun!

Razor : MicroMatic OC (button less base plate type)- Mfg 1930-2,V2,1932-41, mid to mid aggressive range with regular newer blades. Built to last for many generations and was the first mass produced TTO in the world, about 4-5 years ahead of Gillette's TTO. Used a spent spine from a old blade to shim the new blade shim (RIGS). Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(8) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco, nice clean unique clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Aqua" 24mm 3band high mountain badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. First badger ever owned, a bit of a slightly brickly at first until used a enough times to make it softer, but great to work the face. It is a different species of badger I believe by its fur coloring.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Fresco XXX(Slightly mentholated) with some witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=Had a excellent comfortable close shave this morning with my MicroMatic buttonless baseplate with a coated Gem blade.

My my, what a wonderful shave to start the week with. My Henson had been setting on the shelf for to long so used it today/this week. What a nice comfortable shaver it is too. Love the Yardley, to bad they're gone. Still lots of good stuff out there though. Anyway, my face is really happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
