The b-pure Shave Soap lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Razorock Black Hawk razor and a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It’s been quite a while since I used my Cherry Freeze soap - in fact too long. My brother Fernando is a veritable soap and aftershave genius and this soap is proof positive of his great talent. The scent is so nice - it’s very similar to Stirling Glacial Black Cherry, it’s tallow based so you get awesome lather with lots of slickness, it’s loaded with menthol, and it’s terrific in the skincare department just like all of Fernando’s products. The Prep and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave completed the job superbly. Three passes resulted in a brilliant, pleasurable BBS shave and may I add that these Derby blades are excellent!

Here my Wednesday Shave (22.11.2023)


Pre: Furbo Sansdolor // Razor: Supply SE // Blade: Personna Injector // Soap: RazoRock SMDF // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave: RazoRock SMDF

The Supply SE Razor is my newest addition to my den. Bought it from a member in our German FB-Group so it was not as expensive as it would be otherwise.

What a nice razor this is. So smooth and gentle and thoroughly at the same time. I wasn’t expecting that but it has been a very good decision to buy this razor. It has a very special feeling while shaving. Feels very nice.

The rest of the equipment will you ask…The SMDF is a fantastic soap. I adore the scent and for me the RazoRock SMDF is much better than the Original soap. The lather is better when it comes to volume of the lather, thickness and especially the slickness. The slickness is what the this soap makes it much better. The Shavemac made tons of lather within seconds so it was an extremely enjoyable shave in 2,5 passes.

The scent of the Aftershave has no Eucalyptus or Menthol in it, so the scent is quite a bit different but absolutely not in a bad way. It smells spicy, just a bit like a cigar in a smokers lounge where some people are enjoying their pipes and cigars. Wonderful warm and cozy scent.

Definitely a 10 out of 10

Razor : Yaqi DE 2nd generation Mellon head 316 SSP , with a Yaqi teardrop 316 SSP handle (looks like a cannon barrel from the old sail ships). Mfg 2023>,tame mid range. Well designed, machining and finish QC are excellent. It is similar to the Grande King razor from the 1940's that uses the concept of self lubricating as you rinse the razor it carries residual water to remoisturize you lather making it slicker. Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning. The razor sang to me with a nice audio feedback of a sizzling sound as it snipped those whiskers.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI (2), sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap :Cyril R Salter Wild rose cream- nice rose scented cream 5-6/10 strength with excellent lather qualities. Very nice cream.
Brush : Yaqi " Lucky dice" 26mm brown whiskers fan knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice large handle for large hands, 26mm knots are awesome.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : I.B Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Mellon 316SSP V2 razor with a Gillette Polsilver SI blade.
