Oh la la, am I ever frozen - this Frosted Lavender soap and aftershave are two menthol atom bombs with the most gorgeous lavender scent I ever experienced. My dear brother Fernando in Johannesburg, South Africa is a veritable soap and aftershave master and these two products are treasures. The soap’s tallow formula is so similar to Stirling, the lather is sumptuous and so slick, the menthol sensation is so intense that it easily matches any of the Glacials, and the skincare is brilliant. The Prep and the Frosted Lavender aftershave were a perfect finish. Finally the lovely Aramis fragrance and I’m ready for a new week. Three passes with the new Derby blade gave me a cracking good BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with the Burma Shave Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the PAA Bakelite Slant and a Pro 500 Super Platinum Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Goodness, what a great shave! The SNMIRN razor shaves well above its price point, smooth/comfortable/effective with excellent results. Like it lots. The vintage Seaforth is a marvel to me, makes a great lather that works so well. All in all, a wonderful start for the week. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

MMMonday + daily double , November 27 2023

Razor : (L) Ever-Ready Streamline SE, 2nd generation , Mfg 1949-53, mid upper range. well made to last generations, this razor seems to like a slight Steep angle & a RIGS shim to smooth it out. I like to use it when blade count gets higher to take advantage of its blade feel. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Razor : (R)Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale SSP handle 4th use, Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. Small head parts make for a nimble shave, clamping is great and uses my Schick proline blades. Machining and finish are excellent and happy using my favorite standard Schick P30 blades. The razor will give a BBS with it even being on the milder side. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE blade (9) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Blade : Schick Proline p30 (2)- sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. One of favorite AC type blades
Soap :Speick stick- nice mild spicy scented soap with excellent lather qualities. Excellent hard soap(triple milled).
Brush : Yaqi " Barber pole" 24 mm 2 band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda cologne after shave + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : (L razor) or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Ever-Ready Streamline with a gem coated blade. Nice razor that takes a few tries to dial in I found when first purchased has been my experience.

Results : (R razor) or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = Had a nice close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SSP SE AC type razor with a Schick proline blade. Using audio feedback and neutral angle the little razor performs great.

Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Simple Pure Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Blue's goat milk Shaving Soap.
Razor: Merkur 34C. (Face) - Lord Silver Star. (D3)
Razor: Supply V2 (**) base plate. (Head) - Personna Injector PTFE. (D4)

Post:
Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/ Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./ Alum Rub./Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel/Creightons Sensitive PSB./ P&G Old Spice Hawkridge ASL.

Early morning face & head shave.

After the wonderful shave using the Chinese cologne soap in my previous shave I have went for the Blue's goat milk soap another Chinese made soap that I used a lot when I first started out, however, I can't remember the last time that I added it to my soap rotation the soap creates an excellent lather and like the shave Chinese cologne soap, it leaves an excellent post shave feel.

An enjoyable close face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of P&G Old Spice Hawkridge ASL.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.
