Razor : Gem G bar - Mfg 1955-58, mild - tame mid range. Well built and the handle has a different heal design than other Gem razors. This little razor has a excellent chrome coating and is built to last generations. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade :Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : TOBS Sandalwood- nice herbal scented sandal wood 6-7/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 26mm 2band badgers. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. My first badger ever bought and still going strong.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood + a dollop of Geo F Trumper Sandalwood skin food moisturizer.
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem G bar with a coated SS Gem blade.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Wrights Coal Tar Bar Soap.
Brush: Semogue 830.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Proraso Sandalwood & Shea Butter Shaving Cream.
Razor: EJ DE89. 'kelvin.'(Face) - Lord Silver Star. (D3)
Razor: Supply V2 (**) base plate. (Head) - Personna Injector PTFE. (D3)

Post:
Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face & Head Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Cien Men Sensitive ASB./ Proraso Sandalwood & Shea Oil ASL.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #71 synthetic brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Pal Injecto-Matic and Personna injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Oh la la, these Scheermonnik soaps are MAGNIFICENT. I received two of them not too long ago and I absolutely love them. They’re from the Netherlands and although they’re a bit pricey the ends justify the means - this Delftse Donderslag (Delft Thunderclap) smells so gorgeous, (can there be a sandalwood note?) it’s not tallow based but it gives amazing lather that’s so thick, rich, cushiony, protective as well as super slick, and the skincare is brilliant. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it works great for sensitive skin, and the Proraso Red aftershave not only smells beautiful - it feels so good on my skin. Three glorious passes gave me a fabulous BBS shave that was so much fun!

Tuesday Shave

Lather: Ariana & Evans Pedro Fiasco's Shaving cream Unscented

Blade: SuperMax Titanium, Astra SP
Post: Ariana & Evans Post-Shave Serum

I started this shave with a SuperMax Titanium blade that I found in my bin of loose blades. I think someone PIFed me samples of various SuperMax blades several years ago, but I've never tried any of them before today.

The first cautious stroke was unpleasant -- it felt rough. I tried the other side of the blade in a cautious stroke and it felt the same. I know some people like these blades, but I decided quickly that they are not for me in this razor. I stopped and sent that blade to the used blade bin and replaced it with an Astra SP, which I have plenty of good experience with. Ahhhh! that was smooth and comfortable and I was able to finish a pleasant shave.
