This one immediately called out to me and I’m smooth, smooth, smooth once more. While it’s a lovely razor it’s deceptively sharp and left a small collection of nicks around the mouth and chin. They healed quickly, no harm, no foul.

Razor : Yaqi 2nd Generation or V2 316 SSP Mellon head with a 316 SSP tear drop handle- Mfg 2023>, mid range. Excellent machining and finish QC. This razor is based off the Grand king double open comb razor from the 1940's self lubricating, it works off the idea of when rinsing the razor it traps water(top cap comb) and when brought back up to start the stroke it lubricates the soap(it works and V1 works slightly better IMO) With a light touch the shaves are great and issue free.
Blade : Treet platinum (4), sharp and comfort smooth with good longevity. Reasonable blade for a DFS.
Soap : Yaqi "the Green", very pleasant refreshing nature scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Coat tails" 24mm G4 synthetic. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Closest synthetic to a badger brush IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi The Green splash(similar to Lacoste Green cologne scent)+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi 316SSP Mellon head with a Treet coated blade.

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #71 synthetic brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Pal Injecto-Matic and Personna injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Hendrick's Witch Hazel and then Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I don’t feel too well this morning and it was difficult for me to get out of bed so I grabbed the first things in front of me. This tube of Williams Menthol has been here over fifteen years - that’s how long ago I bought it but it still smells lovely and lathers like a champ, the menthol sensation felt so good, and the postshave care was so gentle as well as soothing. The Prep and the Aqua Velva aftershave were such a great finish. Three passes gave me a wonderful BBS shave but I noticed a bit of tugging from this 7 AM blade. I’ll see how it performs tomorrow and then I’ll decide if I continue with it or change it.

Razor: Razorock 2nd Generation or V2 Lupo.72 - Mfg Jan 2021>,tame mid to mid range. excellent machining and finish QC. Design is great for moustache lines and under the nose area IMO. I have been using this razor for almost 3 years in my weekly razor rotation mostly and have enjoyed it a lot for folks who shave daily it might be Ok also.(I shaved daily for a week straight when I first received it.) I have lots of razors so I have a large slow rotation to some even as a daily shaver. Had a stellar comfortable close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP (1) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade of my 6 top.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green" nice refreshing nature scent(Lacoste essential green cologne scent) with excellent lather qualities. Yaqi commissioned Master soap creations SA to make soaps and fragrances.
Brush : Yaqi " Dandelion" 24mm cashmere synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice Green color , one of my favorite colors.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : "Yaqi The Green" splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette 7oClock SP. Very nice shave with a fresh blade this morning.
