The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette OC Frankenrazor and the Personna Super (83) Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

DE SOTD, Tuesday, November 19th 2024. On the road shave gear is hard to beat and affordable.

Razor : Razorock Mission with a RR stainless handle. Mfg 2014>, mid range. Well built Zamak affordable razor that gives a decent shave.
Blade : Nacet (1) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Argo, interesting scent that folks like to have some fragrance comparisons + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Chinese unknown. Bought this many years ago and great for travel.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing splash .
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Razorock Mission with a Nacet blade.

Here my Shave of the Day (20.11.2024)


Razor: RazoRock Lupo .95 + Maggard MR5 // Blade: GBE (5) // Soap: PAA Briar // Brush: Semogue 2015 HD // Aftershave Witch Hazel „Tea Tree scented“

I haven ´t used my Lupo for a longer time so i thought to give it a go again.

Loaded with a Gillette Bleue Extra in it´s 5th use the shave was still very very smooth and gentle. Lather was created fast and in perfect conditions in my Fine Lather Bowl. This brush is a great little fella. Very soft tips and just the right amount of Backbone, even for me as a Synthetic guy.

2 passes plus minor touch ups were needed to be BBS.

After i read that Tea Tree Oil should be very healthy and good for the skin, i bought some and did a little „Tester. Witch Hazel mixed with a few drops of Tea Tree Oil. You either love or hate this scent, but for me: I love it. Should be calming when you are stressed and has some other health benefits.
