Saturday's Cold Water Shave

The ARKO Shaving Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #437 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette OC Frankenrazor and the Personna Super (87) Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lucky Brand Citrus Mist. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Razorock Wunderbar slant with a modified Micromatic handle. Mfg 2017>, mid to upper mid range. The Wunderbar likes a steep(riding the bar) because of its design + a light touch. I also like to use a short handle for less leverage, weight and is quicker for changing angles on the chin area. Took a while to figure this technique but the results are great.
Blade : Gillette Permasharp 7oClock(1) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green" very nice natural forest scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Dandelion" 24mm Cashmere knot. I just enjoy this handle color and great knot for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Witch hazel soap residual cleanse + Yaqi The Green splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Wunderbar slant with a Gillette Permasharp.

Although the Cold Spices soap smells so much like the Shulton Old Spice (and the aftershave also) the menthol has a slight effect on the scent so that prevents it from being 100%. The soap is extremely thirsty but if you leave your brush quite wet you’ll get great lather that’s very slick as well as protective and the menthol sensation is definitely detectable but not overwhelming. The Lubriderm moisturizer works so well as a balm because it’s unscented, and the Cold Spices aftershave is very refreshing - its scent is also very long lasting. Three passes gave me a great BBS shave that was really enjoyable but once this soap and aftershave are gone I doubt that I’ll buy them again.

Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) Blue pack. (D2)
Razor: Parker 94R.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Spice Bearglove ASL Spray. /Cien Men Sensitive ASB.
