Biolijf Huntsman SS
Nivea Cool Kick ASB

This Huntsman soap is from the Netherlands and it’s supposed to be unscented but it actually has a mild but pleasant clean, soapy smell. It lathered very well with my Plissoft synthetic and it has excellent postshave care which the Nivea Cool Kick balm enhanced. Two passes with the new Bic blade sufficed for a great and very comfortable BBS shave!

DE SOTD, Thursday November 28th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Mellon head 316 SSP with a Yaqi chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mid range. Excellent design, machining and finish for my shave needs. Very enjoyable audio feedback with this razor at least for myself.
Blade : Gillette Astra SS(1) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeers rapier, very addictive scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm Tuxedo knot. Great large handle for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer rapier + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Mellon head razor with a Astra SS blade.

I had an excellent Thanksgiving day shave with Subtle Art Soap Draconis (one of my all time favorite soaps) a 40s French bakelite Gillette Tech from Darwin Shaving and a 1941 Gillette Ranger Tech. I used a Gillette Spoiler in both razors.

Two passes and touch ups with the Schick J3 Golden 500 razor and the Schick Proline B20 Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave.
