    Menthol Monday's Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #188
    Gillette Tech
    Personna Super (76)
    Cold Water Rinse
    Mennen After Shave

Because of my big pressure bandage, I did a partial shave today: left cheek, and neck areas. The Virgilio Valobra Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #188 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Tech and the Personna Stainless Steal Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Guy, nice choice with the Bill Neumann. Some say their Absolute Zero isn't super cold. What do you say????

Shave of the Week Starting 11/4/2024

    Razor.........RazoRock Cyber Medium
    Blade.........GSB
    Brush........TRC Cashmere
    Soap.........Kent
    Post..........Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    A/S...........Various

First go with the Cyber Medium razor and it went well. More comments later in the week but initail impression is very favorable. Love the Cashmere knots and the TRC handle is gorgeous to me. Stayed with the Kent SS cuz it's really nice and gives a great lather. So, all in all, a wonderful start to the week and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

Razor : Gem Push button. Mfg 1958-65, mild to tame mid range. Interesting design and eye candy to myself. I always get decent shaves with this razor and will never sell it. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) Very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, a very interesting refreshing lavender with excellent lather qualities. One of the best creams I have used and affordable. Very little is needed to whip up some nice lather.
Brush : Yaqi "Purple haze" 24mm synthetic. Great soft face feel and nice handle to hold.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda splash with witch hazel[IMG] + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10 stellar.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Gem push button and a coated Gem blade.

Yes. Though not as chilling as others I have in the den, I like the aroma on this one.

I am going to be fine. Went back today for a dressing change. My eye actually started to open around noon today. Once I got the bandage off, I could see (pic 1). They removed the Steristrips and cleaned up the wounds (pic 2). Then they put fresh stips on (pic 3). They will stay on for a week. It is looking good at this stage.
