This Dark Blue soap and aftershave are bot MAGNIFICENT - my dear brother Fernando is definitely a master artisan. The scent is an exact copy of Hugo Boss Dark Blue, the soap is a tallow based treasure with awesome lather, lots of slickness, as well as a very soothing postshave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer worked its magic as a balm beautifully, and the Dark Blue aftershave went on with its gorgeous scent that lasts all day - no stinging or burning from it because it’s witch hazel based. Another super duper three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed to the max!

The Tabac Shave Soap was face-lathered well with Jayaruh#2 Two-band Badger Brush. Two Passes and touch ups with the Schick G 66 Injector Razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Soap = Captain Fawcett’s Scapicchio
Brush = Pura Setola
Bowl = white plastic
Razor = Gillette New Long comb
Blade = Permasharp (1)
Passes = 2 and done
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal
ASL = Cella
Scent = English Leather cologne splash

A really hard soap. Half a scoop and way too much lather, enough for 2 or 3 shaves. Super slick too.

A first today!

I felt a minor nick, but saw some blood in a different place to where I felt the nick. Cold water and alum stemmed the redness.

Later in the day I saw the remains of the delayed weeper where I initially felt the nick: my first “delayed weeper” so fondly spoken of by @JACarbone Lol! Interesting that it only bled/crusted over later.

The blade is sharp and crisp rather than smooth and was always going to be interesting on Day 1 in the OC. Washed the blade, hand stropped it, dried it, ready for next time

I wonder if I'll suddenly recall the name of the soap as I type this report. It was classic as a Throwback Thursday choice, as it had the scent and feel of an 18th Century English men's club. Mild tobacco scent(mild is the way I prefer tobacco, as a shave product). Great shave from it, all around. 2 healthy passes. No damage. The Puros finished me off in fine fashion. As Outstanding As It Gets. I did this yesterday, too. And now I remember the name of the soap-Beau Brummel.

 

And we're coming right up to Throwback Thursday(course some this week call it Thanksgiving Day). Here it is:

Followed by today’s stellar shave with my biggest blade. Normally I save this razor for an overdue shave with too many days of stubble. Today was an exception with just two days of growth. Super smooth
