Wednesday, November 23. Good Morning! Going to be on a MWF & Floid Blue diet for a few days breaking in a new brush. I know the Floid Blue has absolutely nothing to do with breaking in a new brush, but I just love it, especially after a MWF shave. I go heavy on the water, lathers ok but not great. I just can't seem to get it going. I soak the brush and shake it out once. I put an almond size dab on the brush and face lather. I usually dip my brush in the water two or three times.
Is that the only way you lather, on the face? My Proraso, Bigelow, and Omega creams make a great lather when I lather in a bowl.
I travel alot, so bowl lathering seemed like a waste and just another item to pack. So to answer your question, yes I only lather on the face. Its not just the lather that bothers me, it also doesn't seem to give me a good comfortable shave. I have no problems with the palmolive menthol or the Godrej Menthol mist shave cream's, and I face lather with them as well. I want to like the Bigelow, but I just can't do it. I can pick it up at a store 2 minutes from my house is the real sad part.

Wenesday: There is something about a Gillette Yellow After five glorious shaves with a Gillette 7 o'clock blue, I decided to follow it with a Yellow. I don't know why these two blades work so well for me but they do. Consistently sharp and smooth, little to no break in, they are, for my face and kit, the missing link. Assorted hot/cold soaks/wraps TeaTree Oil- for a different preshave experience Vulfix 404 Mixed-second day of face lathering with it, this brush kills in every application EJ89-with everyone's help here, this razor and I have become the best of friends. Thanx for helping with the selection Gillette 7 o'clock Yellow-another of BullGoose's selections, this guy just seems to know my face. I love these blades Taylor Lavender Cream-a gifted sample from a Bullgoose order, it lathered beautifully and took on moisture easily Witch Hazel-how did I not know to use this TSD Bourbon Vanilla Milk-more important to me then actual milk, TSD milks are about to be reordered Pinaud Vanilla Caswell Massey Jockey Club Talc I will let my words above speak for themselves. Today involved several of my favorite products, a rekindling with the past with Tea Tree, and new cream that I have been curious to try. And if your face works with Talc, try Caswell Massey about five minutes after u shave. It makes u feel finished I am awarding this at what is currently the highest score I give myself, 4.6 Blades. It was a pleasure to shave today and even more of a pleasure to share.
Well then I don't know what to tell you. Try something weird like putting the duck back on the counter.
Well, I pretty much lather it the way you do, so I guess you just don't like the stuff then haha.... Haha!
Parker Str8 Treet DE blade C&E BBB Musgo Real SC Osage Rub Phyto Expert Balm Music-Mahler's 4th Symphony -health club shave with a straight-results-meh. Hands a bit shaky after work out, lighting not great, noisy-will likely not repeat. It was cool seeing somebody else shaving with a Parker straight. I approached him and asked him about it. By that time he pulled out his fusion and said, "I got frustrated, my barber gave this go me." Tempting as it was to engage in further discussion (I wanted to help him) he did not seem at all interested in talking about it. Too bad....
