*I bought this Wilkinson Sword brush last week out of curiosity and it works very well - no complaints!

It felt so good to shave with my Gada Cool Mint cream - I've sent it to quite a few guys here and they all love it, so I decided to enjoy a shave with it myself. It's probably the cheapest cream available here in Montreal, and it's terrific. A very nice scent with such rich lather and an icy-cold menthol effect which the Anherb conditioner and the Aqua Velva intensify so well. BBS in two effortless passes! ;) :D

    Prep: hot towel
    Razor: Weishi 9306
    Blade: Astra SP (day 6)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Col Conk lime
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: cold water, Proraso blue

My weekend shaves are getting better! Still have to work at getting a good lather from the soap, but I'm enjoying the challenge.

Today's shave left my face nice and smooth and cool, a very refreshing feeling.

Downsized the brush, but left everything else the same as yesterday. The R41 gets along nicely with the Permasharp Super and I was rewarded with another fantastic shave.

Prep: Healthy Accents Daily Cleanser, Hot shower, Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Preshave Lotion
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Cream: Speick
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo Nickel
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3)
    Passes: WTG, ATG (6, 7)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS Lotion
    Cologne: Endymion by Penhaligon's

Plenty of stubble, relatively speaking, after skipping yesterday's shave, but I elected to skip the XTG pass due to time constraints. Probably as a result, I caught a pretty good weeper at the right corner of my mouth on the ATG pass. The FaTip makes the Bic perform as a less 'forgiving' blade than when it's loaded in the 41c, which is also a contributing factor. Otherwise, I got a DFS+ shave, with the Speick providing plenty of cushiony lather.

    Prep: Warm shower, Cetaphil Cream
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89L
    Blade: Personna Lab (3)
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
    Brush: Vie-Long Horse Hair 12705
Post: Witch Hazel, Nivea for Men Sensitive ASB
    Aftershave: Old Spice

Excellent shave. For some reason, I seldom use the VDH soap. I forget how nice and slick the lather is that it produces.

    Have a great day!

Hot shower and face washed with Neutral bar soap.
Mühle R89 coupled with Royal Stainless.
Florena Men Comfort SC whipped with Semogue 1520 boar in Steve Woodhead mug.
    3 passes (WTG/XTG/XTG).
Ajanta alum for a minute, then rinsed of with cold water. Finished off with Nivea for Men Sensitive after shave balm.

The saying goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover", so I'll follow that advice with the Royal blade. I'll try it again tomorrow with my trusty Arko but if it still performs so rough like today, it goes in a trade. I don't think my face like that blade at all. Good end-result after all :)

    Becker Travel Scuttle

    Dickinson's Witch Hazel

    Aqua Velva Musk ASL/Cologne

Trying out the new Travel Scuttle I received from Robert Becker. It keeps the water in the scuttle nice and warm throughout the entire 3 pass shave. I think it actually holds more water than the Georgetown scuttle I have been using. At any rate, it is going to be a welcome accessory to my travel bag.
Have a great weekend Gentlemen and enjoy your shaves! :happy005:

I have had a Black Tip for over a year never gave it a try. I was quite surprised at how good the shave was after 3 pass and tough up. Came away with a VERY close, comfortable, and smooth shave. A++++++

Wow! It is like this is the combination I have been looking for. The Semogue 1305 face-lathered the Williams like a champ. The Williams provided a great, slick base for two passes and touch-ups. The GEM MMBT removed my whiskers almost effortlessly. The Thayers Cucumber WH and the Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS topped it all off for a Mighty Fine Shave. I loved it.

After getting up all our outside Christmas lights, a near BBS Shave and a warm shower is a perfect way to end the day. The '46 Ranger Tech provided a flawless shave and the new Astra blade didn't hurt either.

    Homemade PSO
    Gillette FatBoy 3 passes
    Feather Hi Stainless Platinum (3)
    VDH boar
Edwin Jagger Limes & Pomegranate cream (sample) in a warm mug
    Thayer's unscented with aloe
Edwin Jagger Limes & Pomegranate AS lotion (sample)

1st shave with the FatBoy that I just got yesterday! Set the razor at "4" for the first two passes. I've already shaved with a Super Speed Flare Tip and a Red Tip so I went right to work. The razor worked great but the lather with the EJ Lime was very thin and didn't perform well at all. I looked back at my journal later today and noted having excellent lather with the EJ Sandalwood so I don't know what happened today. Either way the scent with the Sandalwood wasn't that great and the scent with the Limes & Pomegranate wasn't too hot either so I might be done with the EJ product as soon as my samples are gone. I didn't have time to whip up another batch of lather (SWMBO was tapping her foot) so I grabbed some Gillette Fusion Gel that was handy, goobered up, and turned the razor up to "6" for pass number three and called it good. Not the best maiden voyage for a razor I've pined for but even with today's issues I can't wait until tomorrow. I'll probably start at "6" or "7" and work down.

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Spice Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Spice
    Razor: RazoRock Jaws OC (Cadet)
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)
Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip Badger 22x48
    Aftershave: Krampert’s Bay Rum

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

This was my first shave with an open comb razor. I also used the Stirling Spice (read Old Spice) for the first time today. The Jaws, Med Prep, and Spice liked each other. I had a great smooth, close, nick, and burn free shave. The only real difference I noticed with the Open Comb was a different feel and sound on my face. The angle was easy to find. The new Stirling Spice lathered and smelled great! I finished up with Krampert’s Bay Rum.
