Had a nice 2 pass shave this morning. the scent of Jolly Rodger is perfect for this season. did get a few nicks and a bit of irritation on the neck but overall it was a refreshing shave. Hope everyone has a great shave!

Guys, if you think that the Stirling MITA soap is cold you're damned right it is. This past summer I received a glacialized version of it as a gift which has that same wonderful scent and lather, but the menthol power is about three times as potent. In fact I think this might be the strongest of all the Glacial soaps where menthol is concerned. I don't know how Rod did it, but he did it! I literally froze my face off during this shave and got dolphin smooth even though my Derby blade is showing some signs of fatigue. The Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel added its own special intense freezing, wonderful skin-friendliness and why I patted on the Arctique aftershave is because I'm a crazy menthol freak - it felt almost painfully-cold! (in a good way, of course!)

 

Soooo smooth....

That Artique is some COLD stuff. I bought a bottle for my son (on your recommendation, thank you) a while back, and have borrowed a splash or two.

Pre shave - Proraso
Razor – ‘The Rock’ (Rockwell 6S – #3)
Blade – Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (black)
Brush - 'Papa Chub' (Chubby 3 Manchurian)
Soap – Sir Hare - Drunken Sailor
Post - Witch Hazel, Trevarno Revitalising Face Oil


I don't really know a great deal about Sir Hare, but I do know it produces a BIG protective lather, and ‘The Rock’/7 O'Clock Super Platinum (black) combo is simply superb.. a wonderful start to my weekend..

I wish I could show a proper photo of this excellent cream, but at least I can show this You Tube video about a guy going to a barbershop in Syria and having the barber telling him "If you want to get a good shave then you came to the right place. You know that we specialize in this!" The commentator also says "Since 40 years Hamol has been getting men as smooth as silk just like their trusted barbers!" The scent of this cream is so clean, with a refreshing minty/lemony note, just a drop is needed for an explosive, rich lather, and its menthol effect is good. It's also very, very skin-friendly. Oh, "Na'iman" in Arabic means "Nice haircut" or "Nice shave." The reply is "Allah inam alik" which means "May God make it blissful for you." The Lemon Chill witch hazel is such a great way to finish off a shave - it's so lemony, fresh, and COLD!

Followed with a light facial application of Groom n' Clean, just because. Goes on light, is moisturizing and has a pleasant smell. Is also holding the stache pretty well.

 

No, it's just a sample. I pressed it into the VDH dish and load from there.

 

Who needs an Ice-Bucket Challenge when all you have to do is apply the aftershaves the Ambassador's been talkinabout?

 

oh ok.....y'know, I imagi ne a 5.8 could last a real long time even if that is the ONLY soap one uses.
