Glad you like the Figaro. I may have to try it again. I didn't like it the first couple times. If I still don't like it, then it's going to find it's way into the grab bag box.

    The Sick Day:

I have been battling an insane headache and finally caved in, pulled up the covers and listened to Howard Stern and then last nite's Nick and Artie Show.
I wanted to drag myself out of bed and did and managed to eat part of a sandwich. I then went in for a steamy shower, followed by a great shave. The MWF was pillowy soft, the Prorasso Pre/post opened my Sinus', and I emerged feeling better then when I started. A good shave, a magic elixir.

    Assorted Soaks
Proraso pre/post-also used after the witch hazel
    Vulfix 404 Mixed
    EJ89
    Lord Platinum (3)
    Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Ice Sport
    Caswell Massey Jockey Club Talc

    Be gone migraine, be gone...

I understand the headache issue all too well. Cluster headaches are worse than even migraines and migraines are very debilitating when they rage.

Sometimes a good shave make you feel better whether you want to or not! A good shave does wonders!

    Get to feeling better.

A week's worth of shaves in one post:

    Monday’s shave:
    Valobra Menthol shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr.2 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Merkur 11C open comb
    Astra Superior Platinum (1.)
    Speick Men after shave

    Tuesday’s shave at the Gym:
Calani Oriental Plum shave soap stick
Mühle Travel shave brush in Nickel with Silver Tip Fibre
    Merkur 11C open comb
    Astra Superior Platinum (2.)
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

    Wednesday’s shave:
    Calani Cadre Noir shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr.2 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Merkur 11C open comb
    Astra Superior Platinum (3.)
    Speick Men after shave

    Thursday’s shave:
    Calani Cadre Noir shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr.2 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
    Merkur 11C open comb
ASP (4.) & BIC Chrome Platinum (new)
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

Had to replace the ASP after the first pass as the blade had lost its edge, which seems to happen faster in this 11C as it does in other razors, IMHO

    Friday’s shave:
    Calani Lavender shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr.2 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
Gillette NEW long Bull Mastiff von BRW (*Premiere*)
    BIC Chrome Platinum (2.)
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Soothing Gel after shave

The NEW is a touch more aggressive then the 11C, I guess due to the higher blade exposure. Overall an enjoyable shave but will need a couple more days to get used to this new razor.

    Friday 2 December

No picture today my camera ran out of batteries, knew I needed something from the pharmacy last night.

    Proraso white soap
GEM Micromatic, and GEM SS (D4)
    Omega boar 10015, face lather
Polar Ice splash and Proraso ASB

This was a three pass DFS++, just missed BBS. I am really liking the GEM micromatic with the GEM stainless steel blades. I received my order of aftershaves yesterday so I had to try out the polar ice. As everyone said there really is no menthol cooling effect even though menthol is listed on the label. It is listed as peppermint, but it smells different than that to me, I can't quite place it right now. It left my face feeling good and tight. I liked it and will use it some more before passing judgement. There is nothing left to say about the proraso white, its just great for me. Great glide and skincare all day even when working in bad conditions.

    Have a great day.
