I'm thinking I'll be trying the "77 Prototype" as well this week as I cleaned that up as well and would be interesting to compare the two.

Dear Slim, it's been a while. Glad to see you back.
    Good evening PrimRose .
I'd like to introduce you to tonight's shave.

I got my haircut and then came home and shaved off my beard today.

Prep: hot shower, CVS Face Wash, CVS Face Scrub.
    Brush: Vie Long.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: SuperMax Titanium.
Cream: Godrej Rich Foam (red tube.)
Post: cold water rinse, Fine American Blend, Myrsol Emulsion.

I did a one pass DFS shave today. It was a mostly good shave, except for the two nicks I got... one on my neck and one my Adam's Apple. It was my first time using my Vie Long to shave my whole face and also my first time using the Godrej cream. So far, so good. I like the fresh clean scent of the Godrej. It also lathered up fairly well, had adequate slickness, cushion, and skincare. I got it dirt cheap at one of the several Indian stores in town. If you have an Indian store, see if they have any shaving creams. They're worth checking out and they're dirt cheap.

It's been a long time since I've used my Arko Ice Mint cream so I decided to enjoy it for this shave. Lots of rich lather, smells really nice with a nice, nice, nice menthol effect and it's also very skin-friendly. It's hard to beat the Lucky Tiger a/s cream for moisturizing and protection because this stuff is awesome. A couple of slaps of the Rubby Dubby Doo are sure to make a man shiver - that aftershave is absolutely necessary for my collection at all times. These Astra blades give terrific performance, even if I say so myself! ;) :D

I will be posting my SOTD after the days pass because I usually shave at night.
Pre-Shave Steps: Hot shower, Neutrogena Men's Acne Face Wash
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White Pre-Shave Cream
    Shaving Soap: Soap Commander Passion
Brush: Custom Finest Badger made by Manhandeled Wood Shop (Fantastic check them out on instagram)
    Aftershave Balm: Soap Commander Passion
    Aftershave Splash: Brut Classic
    Razor/ Blade: Maggard MR-5 handle w Muhle R41 head/ Elios Blade

Great shave overall. First time using the Maggard Mr-5 handle with a Muhle head. Worked fantastically. The weight is very nice for only being $20. Soap commander Passion scent is really nice--great strength, woodsy, touch of spice. Fantastic shave with no irritation at all. I've heard of lots of people hating on the Elios blades but I always seem to get great shaves from them. Must be my face haha. Aftershave balm had a great scent strength and has the perfect amount of menthol for my liking (feel the burn but not overkill). Brut Classic is a great scent and doesn't dry out my face. Overall fantastic shave. The lather wasn't the best because it was the first shave with the new badger knot but it will break in nicely.

    DeFitch Three Piece Razor
    Personna Super Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman AS

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #30RS Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my DeFitch Three Piece Razor and a Personna Super Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Looks like a great daily shave. What is the purpose of a cold water shave? Wouldn't the hairs be harder to cut?

    Last ThuRRsday for a while
I used the last of my Cologne Russe aftershave today, and I loved every minute of it. Truly a masterpiece. I'm on a buying ban for a while, so I won't be to replace it for a bit. I got 51 uses from this bottle, which I think is very good since I tend to have a heavy hand with aftershaves.
I also used my Fatboy for a change and to compare it again to der Futur. The FB feels so light in comparison! I used it on 9 for three passes and got one weeper. Overall, this was a very good shave, leaving my face smooth and comfortable.

This Arko Ice Mint cream is absolutely awesome - it smells so nice and sporty, it lathers top-notch, and does it ever feel super-cool. In fact I'd say it kicks Proraso Green's butt in the menthol effect. The Lucky Tiger a/s cream and the Rubby Dubby Doo were a perfect finish for a great shave like this one! :happy088: :happy088:
