    Saturn's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea for Men Original Moisturizing Face Wash
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Lather: Speick cream, bowl lathered
Razor: Birth year/quarter Gillette Black Handle Super Speed
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, XTG (4, 5, 6)
Post: Cold water rinse, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

I let the stubble grow for a day before my second shave with the Black Handle SS/Bic combo; this time I went with the Speick cream, which produces much more consistent lather for me than Stirling does. Between the better beard-softening of the Speick and the general improvement I note when shaving with a Bic blade on day 2, I caught the baby today. As before, I found this a very mild razor compared to the OC options I've tried before, but it left virtually no trace of stubble anywhere after three passes, and caused no bloodshed, redness, or irritation.

I guess my neck was not fully recovered from yesterday's shave. This shave felt fine while it was happening, but now I've got a pretty good burn going. I'm going to skip tomorrow to heal.

Go Green! B1G Title game tonight! If they win, they should be in the playoffs for the national championship. Either way, it has been an amazing decade for MSU football. Dantonio is an unsung coach - one of the best, imho.

image.jpeg Saturday morning shave with the type D. Chick blade and a nice slick lather from the Razorock lime. The Myrsol is a great finish! I'm off to Home Depot to buy some paint for the outside of the house :happy069:

    image.jpeg Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5) (3)
Brush: Rubberset 400 #3 WD 24/50 Silvertip (Jedi Lightsaber)
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: Geo. F. Trumper's Coconut cream
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960s
Put some Trumper's Coconut into my favorite OS mug. My Jedi Lightsaber with its nice backbone whipped up some nice warm lather. The soft brush felt good on my face and I really like the way the handle feels in my hand. My FB is still my favorite razor and as usual, made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. A little touchup on my neck ATG on 3 and done. I had enough lather left over for another pass. The WH felt good, nice and cool. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some Vintage Old Spice Lime from the 1960s. Have a good one y'all!

JAHenckels Twin Works #81 4/8 full hollow round end
    Pinaud Vanilla
    Gillette slim(j2)(7)

today's shave was nice. Steve's omega brush keeps getting better and better. the jungle did great. I made three passes with the 81, for an ok shave except my neck on the right side. I could have very well left it like that, but I didn't. I cleaned it up with the slim. between the two I got a superb shave. finished with vanilla.
hope y'all did as well, or better. 20151205_114611.jpg

    EQUIPMENT:
    ---
    RAZOR: Gillette G2 Fatboy (5)
    BLADE: Shark (1)
    PRESHAVE: Noxema Classic
BRUSH: Rubberset 220, Supersoft Synthetic reknot
    SOAP: Country Club Cahaba Blues
POST SHAVE: Nivea post shave Balm
    AFTERSHAVE: Aqua Velva

    TECHNIQUE:
    ---
    Wam rinse/shower
    cold water shave
    Bowl lather
    WTG, ATG, TU
added water + lather between passes
    Nivea Post
    Aqua Velva off shaved area

I'm reminded of the song, "Don't Hurry, Shave Happy." I was in a hurry (notice the ATG in place of my normal two XTG passes) because I was late for a meeting. My neck paid the price for my short cut. No nicks, but the worst razor burn I've had in quite some time. In hindsight maybe simply stopping after the first pass might have been the way to go.

I'm guessing the Shark is not going to be a favorite blade, but I'm going to give it another go before saying too much more. First impression is it's another with adequate sharpness but not much smoothness. The Cahabo Blues soap is now my favorite smelling soap so it will stay in rotation for awhile anyhow. Based on this quick shave though, I've got some doubts about its functional properties. I think I may be looking for heavier soaps that offer more resistance. It will be awhile before I revisit. I just got a sampler box so lots of new soaps to play with!

Finally shaved in the morning today because I did not have to get up early and had the time hahah.
    Software:
Prep: Hot shower/ Nivea Men's Energy Face Scrub
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White Pre-Shave Cream
Shave Soap: Beaver Woodright Ship Wreck Cove
    Astringent: Thayers Original Witch Hazel
Post-Shave Balm: Nivea Sensitive Post-Shave Balm
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue (Not pictured)

    Hardware:
Brush: Omega 11574 Boar (dyed- knot)
    Razor/ Blade: Muhle R41 Combo head w/ Maggard Mr-5 Handle/ Elios Blade

Wow, today's shave was incredible. Pre-shave cream is what I almost always use, Proraso White. Not sure if it really adds anything to the shave, but I have gotten in the habit of using it so I continue using it. Beaver Woodright Ship Wreck Cove is truly fantastic. It is very soft--my boar brush left a significant crater in the soap where I loaded it. Loading took about 10 seconds, then I proceeded to bowl lather. The lather of this soap is very thick and heavy. Provides tons of cushion and protection. Very impressed. As for the scent, I love the name of the scent and it smells fantastic--like an aquatic men's cologne scent (crisp, cool, aquatic, little mint). I cannot recommend the scent enough I truly love it. Post shave of the soap was also incredible, which I attribute to the high amounts of coconut oil and Shea butter. Overall, it is a great soap. Thayers worked great like always and makes my skin feel hydrated. Nivea post-shave balm is one of my favorites and the scent compliments Ship Wreck Cove nicely. Aqua-velva is a classic aftershave that cools and tones and makes you ready for the day without drying out your skin. Great shave today! Have an awesome Saturday gents!

Another day in Oaxaca, set up won't change much for the next several days... for some reason I didn't get the best lather from the MW today, but the performance was still very good. This is the first time I've had any issue with MW's lather.

    Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush
    Soap/cream- VITOS green shave soap
    Brush- Proraso boar
Razor- WEBER polished head all stainless steel
    Blade- Personna lab blue
Post- Cold water rinse, Pinaud clubman original aftershave lotion and The Bluebeards revenge The ultimate post shave balm for real men

It was a nice shave, but i think I
Would have gotten a little better lather with my plisson. But it was good!

The Bluebeards revenge post balm wasn't very moisturizing, no like.

I tried to fix the wave in my Weber, I might have made it worse =P it was good before, no noticeable flaw. But now I think I made it uneven. Both sides doesn't feel the same. But I'm not 100% sure =P
