If I may chime in as well - love my Star DE. It's a very nice shaving tool.

I've found that it's very pressure sensitive - too much and it gives easily burns. But a light touch and it gives a very smooth and effective shave.

    Hot shower
    Cornhuskers Lotion
    Arko (face lathered)
    Plisson Synthetic
    Fat Boy (3) w/Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    W, X1, X2, touch up
Cold rinse, cold towel, witch hazel, styptic, Grey Flannel AS

I simply cannot get a good shave with my adjustables. Not even close to close, and I still had almost a dozen nicks and weepers.

shave is real nice. I thought the handle a bit short. but the grip is good. all in all, it's a good razor.

Great shave this morning, I love this new Myrsol it has some menthol with a really clean lemon scent. Pairs up nicely with the grapefruit cream. This combination will be what I'm using for the next few days! image.jpeg

    Dove Men Face Wash
    Tabac Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip
    Gillette Super Adjustable (8)
    Astra Super Platinum
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva AS

Running low on the Thayers Lemon WH, I switched out with Thayers Rose Petal WH to finish the month. Still, same soap, same brush, same razor, and same blade.

The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Gillette Super Adjustable razor on 8 and an Astra Super Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Twelfth shave of No Variation NoVember.

    First shave of the month
I decided to clean up my neck, while keeping the new beard for November.
I went with PAA Ice pre shave soap and Maggard's Limes and Bergamot for lather. My Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze brush easily made yogurty lather. I put a Voskhod in der Futur, set it on six and went after 11 days growth.
Result? Two pass DFS with no nicks or irritation! Such a great razor! I finished up with PAA Lime Ginger and Tea Tree and I feel much better - no more itching!

To shave with a soap like any of the Glacials is a heavenly delight for me - it's super bone chillingly-cold with perfect lather as well as so skin-friendly. The matching balm and witch hazel always bring "tears of joy" to my eyes! (and I'm a very emotional guy as it is!) ;) :D glacial-wintergreen_1__33741_1406660934_800_800.jpg Glacial_Wintergreen_PSB__55419_1433782657_800_800.jpg glacial_-_wintergreen_wha_250__77335_1406660937_800_800.jpg

    NOVember - NO Variation

    November 11

Razor - Feather SS AC Pain Stick
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Brush - BoS Omega 10066
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post - Cold Water, Alum, Aloe

Not in as big a rush this morning so I didn't have to go one pass and call it good. Did a full two passes with the SS and no blood or other issues. Working around the cut on the right cheek presented no problems as I'm just decreasing angle across it as well as making sure no pressure is on the blade. First pass was very nice, DFS on the face and I used the second to work the neck close to DFS. I probably got it there but I'm not going to claim it as there were a couple of spots that could have been better.

I'm finding the muscle memory coming into play more and more with this razor now. Seems like my right hand especially knows what it's supposed to do and the "SSM"'s (stupid shaving mistakes) are getting fewer and farther in between. 19 days left with this razor and it's looking like it will be tame as a super speed by that time. Well, ok, probably not and what fun would that be anyway, but nice to know it's producing better shaves with less work and danger day by day.
