11/14/15 - I can see why there is such a hype for Fat Boys. A really good shaver with a great feel.

    Have a great day!
The Milord Tech is an aggressive razor. The new Feather blade raised the aggressive level significantly. The knurling is smoothish and the handle is thin; making for a head-heavy balance. The shape of the head allows for good maneuvering above the lip. Not my favorite of my vintage razors, but it's a tough little fellow.

I find that 4-5 drops suffice to achieve a good menthol chill to the lather for three passes.

Today I got to try out my new Razorock lime soap. Really nice stuff, super lime scent! The PAL is doing a nice job and the Myrsol was a great finish. For $9.99 shipped you can't beat this soap! image.jpeg

Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost
    Razor: Gillette Aristocrat Junior #49
    Blade: Astra SP
    Lather: Gingers Garden Rose Petals
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft
Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate
    Aftershave: Gingers Garden Osmanthus
First shave with the Aristocrat Junior, excellent results! This razor is a well made, when quality mattered. It was a little more aggressive than the Aristocrat. Gingers Garden rocks!!

Is that the same soap as the one with the old label named "King of the Castle - Essential Oil of the Lime" ?

The MeiBner Tremonia lathered well and I had a nice shave. I've read some complaints about the ability to lather this soap but this is a non issue for me and it lathers just like any other good soap (lather quality). I really like this scent (spicy and I pick up clove). It left my face a little itchy but after my normal application of witch hazel I was o.k. with it. I'd like some shop time this weekend but the way the phone is ringing already probably won't happen. Have a good one.

How do you like that Gil Henry Bay Rum? I''ve been impressed with what I see about it. Or...is it "Bert Henry"? :)

    Feather Pro Super #4

    MDC Fougere
Alum, Witch Hazel +Menthol, Whipped Shea Butter
    Fine Platinum

An excellent Saturday Shave, 2 Passes +clean up = near BBS. This blade was short lived, maybe I lost count, and regardless I changed to a new Pro Super. They give me the closest shave in the Mongoose. MDC is my favorite, quick loading, soaps easily, and gives me a great slick creamy lather. No sting Alum followed by super chilly WH, and Whipped Shea Butter, which has the best face feel of all my Shea Butters.
Hope all are on they’re way to a great weekend. Stay frosty my friends.

From everything I could find yes it is the same, the ingredient list looks the same. The King version was selling for about twice @ $20.

hot water wash with nivea men's face wash and a washcloth
    Parker pure badger
    Route 66 A Perfect Gent
    Ikon shavecraft 101
    Astra sp(2)
    BOMBED Florida Water
today's shave was nice. slow and relaxed Saturday. the Parker is large and in charge. It's huge bulb of soft hairs makes tons of lather, and the weighted handle always feels luxurious. the gent preformed again flawlessly. the scent is simply amazing,I feel tones of citrus, with a sweetness quality. three passes with the Ikon, I flipped sides like any other razor. can't say I can feel a difference. but I did end super smooth, maybe not as comfy as usual. finished with BOMBED Florida water, which I love, but didn't smell as nice as my soap. maybe it'll linger through.
hope y'all did as well, or better.
