I used some of Ginger's Garden Coconut Lime soap in the shower today, great stuff!

I think the Krona gets overlooked to often, it's a smooth shaver.

The Dorco ST-301's I used yesterday turned out to be a bad thing for me. Just after posting yesterday, my face started to burn/hurt and did so for most of the day. The only thing new in my shave yesterday was the Dorco's. So they go on my do not use unless the world has ended list.

The Wars was incredibly difficult to lather, and then produced a very short-lived lather at that. I added some extra cream, thinking I'd overshot the water "sweet spot", but then it produced a nice thick lather (like I expected) that still melted in half a minute. I ended up adding some De Vergulde Hand, which produces a thick, almost sticky lather on its own, and they made a reasonable combination.

I didn't do any blade-buffing, because I wasn't going anywhere important today, and I only did two passes and some cleanup on my neck, so I was surprised when I started in with my witch hazel to feel how close to BBS I'd gotten. I suppose that means my technique is improving?

  Result: A really nice BBS shave again today. No blood on the face or the head. Did experience a bit of pulling on the head with the GEM razor and blade. Maybe just my technique. The Gardenia cream has a wonderful scent. Just like I was in a floral shop.

The "NEW" o/c razor is one of Gillette's finest works IMO. The Cooncatbob Barberpole handle truly takes it to the next level. The increased length, added heft and much improved balance make this thing sing! :1respect

this new Proraso soap in the white bowl is a lot better, at least to me, than the green bowl version--it smells lovely, with great lather, more than enough cooling, and it leaves my skin smooth, and well-shielded against dryness and irritation. The Weishi/Gillette Stainless combination works pretty good!
