My first shave with this razor, and it is smoooootthhhh! Real soon, I am going to load up a Slim along with this razor and do side-by-side comparison. It's hard to tell for sure, but this razor seems like far more than just a gold-plated Slim.

  [*]Result: A very nice, comfortable shave today. Did the head with the Braun today due to the mess I made of it with a GEM on Wednesday. Need to let the noggin heal a bit. The Contour, despite D.Irving79's warnings gives me a really great, close shave with little or no effort. It just fits my hand and my face perfectly so that my technique is always right. The boar brush was a bit scritchy compared to my C&E BBB but it did make fine lather out of the Ye Olde Barbershop soap. One thing about that brush is that it does not hold a lot of soap so I had to put it back into the soap to make lather for each pass. Not a problem though because when it contained enough soap it made a nice lather. Not good for creams for that reason.

First time I have tried wearing an EO as an EDT. I absolutely love the scent of this EO though, best lime I have ever smelled. So I put a bit on the back of my neck and my wrists and head upstairs. I am talking to my wife for a bit and she asks "what were you cleaning?" Yeah, maybe this was not such a good idea...

The 7 am has gone into the top 5 of my blade preference. Nice shave, smooth and close.
