I love the Confiant set that Chris Cullen made. I am a fragrance enthusiast and I can say that he's got quality scents.

    Razor - Merkur Futur
    Blade - BiC Chrome-Platinum
    Razor Stand by RV Shaving
    Shave Brush - Omega Hi-Brush 20mm Synthetic (Model# 46745 – 0146745)
Brush Stand by Desire Metal Works
    Preshave Oil - Lather & Wood's "Unscented"
Shave Soap - Country Club for Men *Woodly Spice scent (Custom created scent, not normally available, you must contact to request)
Aftershave - Country Club for Men *Woodly Spice scent (Custom created scent, not normally available, you must contact to request)
Post Shave Balm - Retseliney Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum
Deodorant - HeartJCreations *Spiced Woods (Custom created scent, not available unless obtained by Country Club for Men)
Fragrance - Creed Spice & Wood

I really, really like the BiC Chrome-Platinum with this razor on the '1' setting. It's just a smooth blade that also cuts extremely well at the same time. On this setting, with this blade I haven't gotten any nicks, weepers or even the slightest irritation. Even with side strokes on my neck on the spots that are 'danger zones'. I will eventually try a more aggressive setting but I just don't have a reason to change the setting. It gives a great, smooth result with no post-shave problems.

The BiC Chrome-Platinum seems to be the "Holy Grail" blade for me. It gives a great shave in all my razors and I get the least irritation from it. Even super-aggressive razors are tamed by it. I don't know if other people will have the same results, but for me, I'm a big believer now that the blade matters.

I feel like I've found a great system of products after more than a year of putting together sets and testing. I'm going to buy a straight and strop soon then try to become competent at that aspect of shaving as well.

That is a great scent. I mixed Sangre de Drago aftershave with Cyril L Salter Sandalwood shave soap and Bvlgari Man in Black cologne. I was sniffing around various soaps and scents that might go with Sangre de Drago and came up with that combo. It's one of my favorite scent/product combos. Of course Sangre de Drago by itself is a great scent. I would say it's PAA's best original scent.

    Razor: Personna Flexhead
    Blade: Gillette Twinjector (3)
    Pre Shave: Homemade
    Brush VDH Badger
    Lather: Proraso Green
    AS: Brut Splash On
    Newspaper Date: Nov. 7,1943

To compare today`s shave vs yesterday`s: Today I used Proraso, instead of canned, also a pre shave today, and not yesterday, a brush today, fingertips yesterday. Both days were 2 passes, WTG/ATG with clean ups between each pass. To grade each shave, I believe today is much better than yesterday. One might say, well duh, but one big difference, my meds did not work today, like shake, rattle and roll all the way through, yet I got a better shave. So that leaves me with just one conclusion: Proper preparation IS important. Yes you can get a decent shave with , lather/ razor and blade, if you want your 5 o `clock shadow @ 2 or 3 and irritation most of the morning. I`m looking forward to my next shave when the meds work. I hpe this helps some newbies who aren`t quite sure. With luck to all and God Bless.

Today's shave was with a fine razor, that I enjoy using. I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. Zero issues.

Razor- "Bow Razor", by Wade & Butcher. 1/2 Hollow.
    Brush- B400, By Tom(@twhite ).
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy

The way it is for Thursday:

    prep-Nivea 4 Men Bodywash(Energy)in shower
    shave-Rise Super Foam**
razor-Pivot Central by Gillette Sensor Deuce DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Avon 4 Men "Maxwell 23 Tribute"

**-(forgot to add this)-it says "Regular", but it really shouldn't as there is no "Menthol, "Protection" , etc...alternatives as was the case with the original Rise. BRING IT BACK!

    Personna Lab Blue blade (3rd)
    Alum, Clubman Lotion après-masage

The shave stick has lost most of it's smell. A couple drops of AS molested the Williams faster than a Hollywood Bigwig into a fine Barbershop scent.

I'm on the fence about it, at this moment. It just came in the mail, yesterday. It's Citrusy and musky. I've never been a big fan of musk, so I will have to try it a few more times. I have several other Citrus/lime aftershave that I'm going to do a comparison on. So, hold off a week or so.

The other option from Pinaud is Lime Sec. It's a little sweeter, but none of the muskiness. Some vendors sell a sample set with three or five small bottles. Could keep you from making a + or - $10 mistake and partially refill any current bottles in your den.
