My first run with a Futur! I set it to 1.5 and went with that the entire shave. I've always wondered about the sound this thing produces and let me tell you, even on this low setting it really sings. I thought the slant was loud, but this one beats that. The shave was very good. It shaved my mustache and under my nose closer than my Slant or HD. For it's large size, it's surprisingly maneuverable. I think I'm going to dial it to 2.0 tomorrow.

I used CO Bigelow yesterday. For some reason every time I use that stuff my face starts feeling a bit irritated later on in the day. I don't think it provides much protection. My skin feels great during and after the shave, but once things start growing back I notice red spots and a bit of razor burn around my face that isn't normally there. Early on I attributed that to bad technique, but I'm starting to see a pattern.

After using the Speick Shave stick for four days I switched to my newly acquired La Toja shave stick. I have to say I am disappointed...it cannot hold a candle to the Speick. Although there was plenty of lather, the lather lacked the cushion of the Speick...likely due to the absence of tallow.

I got an OK shave but it was nothing to write home about. The Ogallala Bay Rum improved my mood...excellent stuff.

Great shave this morning. Yes, I feel “harmonized” (if you have
read the Speick marketing hype). Speick is good stuff, harmonizing
or not. The weather this morning is cool and rainy, and the W & S balm
gave a nice warm, tingly finish.

Expensive stuff is NOT always the best--Cerrus cream costs as little as 0,85 cents in Germany, and it's fantastic. It smells so nice, and lathers so well, and it has a good cooling effect, which the Alt Innsbruck really magnifies.

What a fantastic shave! Love this brush, didn't have to work hard at all and the brush held enough really nice lather for 4 passes and the post shave face wash. The handlebars are nowhere near as majestic as they once were but they're getting their slow and steady. Classic rock for tunes this morning. Crosby Stills and Nash, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix
