    Gem Micromatic OC
    Personna Gem Blade
    Royal London Boar Brush
    Beau Brummel Cybilla Soap
    Witch Hazel
Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum AS

Decided to try out the Gem Micromatic OC today and I'll tell ya, yes it is aggressive but it can be tamed. It's great at knocking off the beard on it's first (WTG) pass. I even kept it off the head and had no problems. But on the next two passes, I had to pretty much keep the head flush with the skin or it probably would have taken a slice of it along the way. It went through my trouble areas with ease with just a slight bit of irritation, but nothing new on that. Overall a very nice BBS shave.

Really nice. I have the aftershave splash but it is too strong for my skin, keeps burning and making my face a little red. The aftershave balm smells great but is, for me, far more comfortable to use than the splash.

    TGR Black Ice shaving cream,
    Semogue Owner's Club boar brush,
Feather Artist SS razor w/Feather Professional blade,
    Captain's Choice aftershave.

    Friday's shave

Got my Gem Featherweight. By the look of it it's never been used. It's a great razor, but I think I will need some time to get used to it. It feels so much lighter than the G bar and I have been enjoying the heft of the G Bar.
The razor has been brilliantly designed. It's as if the designer thought, how would you hold a razor, and then made a razor that was the perfect shape and fit.

    Razor - Gem Featherweight
    Blade - Gem
Lather - Muhle Sea Buckhorn shaving soap
    Aftershave - Williams Ice Blue

    Have a great weekend.

Thanks for your impressions. The splash does make me red for a few seconds, but feels good pretty fast.

I am a big pinaud fan as well. I do recommend trying their virgin island bay rum scent though. Bay rums aren't always my favorites either, but pinauds is just different... In a good way. It is one of my favorite bay rum scents, and an absolute "go-to" for me

It's part of a set similar to the pic below, but mine is a horse drawn carriage and I am hoping to find the rest to compete the set.I love this boar brush as it is very soft and lathers really great. Only thing is you have to be careful as it is ceramic and can get a bit slippery when wet.

Funny...I was just wondering, "why coffee beans? Why not a razor on top of cookies?"

I really wanted to give the Persona Med Prep another try. I set the 6S on plate 2 and tried again. It wasn't comfortable. The hairs just wouldn't cut. I switched to the Protégé with Gillette Silver Blue and finished my shave. It shaved like a dream. I guess the Persona just isn't for me. I used the 6S just recently with a Silver Blue and had excellent results. Love this brush. The Stirling soap is excellent as usual. I like this Stirling aftershave. It is the first time I use it. Very nice scent. Have a great shave and a great weekend.
