I don't know what to say about this set up other than it just works well for me. I plan to change my brush (to a Semogue Boar), handle (to my Mongoose handle), and aftershave selections over the next few days to bring in some variety. All things considered, I have really enjoyed this focus even though I haven't experienced any break-through learning.

We sure had a beautiful day here in Kentucky...sunny blue skies and temps hovering around 70 degrees. I absolutely love this time of year. I hope you had a fantastic Thursday.

Decided to go with a shaving cream for a change and figured what better than the first wet shaving product in my den and still one of my favorites.

I agree.....it looks like Aurora Borealis in the Penhaligons's bottle.

 

I use Vitalis, Jeris or Clubman nearly every day. All faves. Great old school scent in Vitalis.

That AS is available in Denver, I think it's a killer value. Smells great!

The TOBS Lavender Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 Silver Tip brush. First pass with my Gillette Aristocrat (1947 Birth Year Razor) with a Persona Super blade followed by second pass with the Gillette Old Type OC gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Lilac Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

They've looked awesome since the All Star break that's for sure. It should be a great series against the Royals considering the bad blood between the two this year.

 

I think and more importantly a lot of the ladies out there love this stuff. Every time I wear this to work, never fails a woman will walk by my desk then turn around and come back and ask who makes that wonderful smelling cologne. A little goes a long way and lasts for hours. I believe it was in November last year I stumbled across a sale Penhaligon's had on their site and picked this one up at $55 and the soap in the wooden bowl for $20 and could not pass either of those up. I never would pay $130 for a bottle of aftershave or cologne but the $55 was palatable so I went for it and glad I did. To me, one of those must have in the den and maybe they will have another holiday sale this year just as good as I would like to try Opus and Sartorial next.

I will keep a mental note if I come across it again. If I remember right, Penhaligon's had the sampler set for $30 when they had the sale last year. I opted for the wooden bowl and soap at the sales price.
