Soap: DR Harris Marlborough...favorite DRH scent,
Brush: Rooney 1/1 Ivory & Best....I actually prefer Rooney's Best over their Silvertip in their less expensive script lettering series. The block letter Heritage is best though
Razor: Birth year and quarter vintage Gillette Red Tip in almost mint condition
Blade: a NOS Personna 74 introductory sample sent in the mail. I have quite a few of them (1)
After Shave: Alt Innsbruck. I'm so lucky, my wife loves it as much as I do

Usual three passes, no touch ups, to arrive at my daily BBS. No weepers or any sign of hemoglobin. Smooth, comfortable and close as hell.

Grand Blade Trials - Pause for OCtober

    Razor - Feather SS
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush - Semogue 620
    Post - Witch Hazel

I decided after @Marverel had put in such great work with the AC razor I'd join in for a day. Haven't used a pain stick in awhile so I'm overdue. Spent the day mulling over which to use, the Greager or Feather SS and finally settled on the Feather with a Feather Pro blade.

The 620 and Fat were amazing together as always. I can whip up a brush load and lather start in about 45 seconds with this brush off of the Fat puck. Took a couple of extra seconds to remind myself of grips, angles, set downs and all of that good stuff, lathered it up and took off on the first pass. Ahhhh nice. Love that feel when the angle is right from the start. Apparently it's a bit like riding a bike....once you've done it and all that. Spent some extra time working around the goatee line which usually results in blood. Hey, @Heisenberg 93 I'm trying to make your day here. However, none appeared and I rinsed for the second pass.

Nice lather still and I worked at a bit of an angle but nut necessarily XTG. Something I've done before with the AC razors. Did some touch up work at the end and had a very nice DFS so called it good. Two passes with no blood and the alum.....well it's always a bit hot after the pain stick so it just made it all perfect like that.

I've missed this razor and the Greager which hasn't really had a lot of time to prove itself. It's really nearly identical to the original CJB but I feel like I need to pay more attention to it. I'm sure I'll get to it.

Tomorrow the Trials resume with the Gillette Silver Blue. Looking forward to three fine shaves in a row and don't think the changing blade gap can stop that. Hope you all had a great Monday!

I have been away for awhile and have not shaved for some time. I got up this morning and decided it was time to stop looking like a scumbag.....so I shaved today.

Hardest thing about todays shave ,was changing the blade. Had tried the Personna when I got what was a NOS Razor , but was wary of forcing it . Just completed 8 shaves with a Japanese Schick , which has proved to be a good blade.
The Shave went well, and the Razor/ Blade combo seems to work together very smoothly. If anything I did not push it enough in some areas get a close finish, but it was excellent and very forgiving on the neck areas.
