First time out with the Simpson SC and I'm pretty impressed with it. It is unscented, so I added a little vetiver and lavender to it. Very close and smooth shave this morning. Have a good one.

    Turkish Horsehair
    Super Speed/Sharp day 2
Mama Bear Lemon Ice SS :love029: :love029: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    444 AS Balsam :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Alt Innsbruck AS :love029: :love029: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui EDT

My Turkish horsehair brush seems to be the best for lathering soaps - I got tons of rich, frosty lather from the Lemon Ice soap, and the Super Speed/Sharp duo gave me a splendid shave. The 444 balsam and the Alt Innsbruck are also a very good menthol "partnership". ;) :D

Strange, I never noticed you where writing Norwegian. I just remember reading it and that was it :o

And I am also from Stavanger, so it is a small world. Perhaps I know him? (probably not. Its a small town, but not that small :) )

    Anyway, back on topic:

    Facewash: TBS Maca Root wash
    Razor: Merkur Progress
    Blade: Feather
    Brush: Proraso Boar
    Soap: Mitchells Wool Fat
AS Lotion: Proraso Aftershave – New Formula
    AS balm: L’Occitane - Cade

A fantastic shave using the feather. Did not expect to feel that much of a difference from the blades I have been using for the last few weeks.
Very impressed. I will need to get me a few 100-packs :)

Great shave from the Cadet/ Ninja combo, very smooth 2 pass face,I gave the dome the day off :D The Lea sc surprised me,the first time I didn't really feel too much of a menthol hit, today it was amazing. Not a heavy blast like Vostok or TSD ISZ but a great cooling sensation that lasted quite a long time.

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Tuesday October 2, 2012
    [IMG]
Prep: Brush soaking in cold water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, warm shower
    Razor: Feather AS-D1
Blade: Polsilver SI (2) with one shim
    Brush: Semogue 620
    Cream: SuperMax 3 Ultimate Protection
AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave

Another fine shave with the AS-D1 loaded with Polsilver SI and one shim. I love the weight and balance of this razor, it is so easy to maneuver around your face.

Two passes on face, three on neck, and buffing like a berserker provided close to BBS results.

    Cadet TP-13 TTO
    Personna Medical Blade (Thanks Arley)
    Proraso PSC
    Proraso SC
    Natural Bristle Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea ASB
    Mennen Original Skin Bracer

Received the Cadet TTO I ordered yesterday and wanted to give it a go this morning. It performed flawlessly and gave as good a shave as I have every gotten. I wanted another modern TTO to go with a couple of Parker TTO's I have and this Cadet is a great match. Comparing the head of the Cadet to that of the Parker TTO, it appears to be the same (same OEM) and the aggressiveness is compairable as well. Paired with the Personna Medical Blade, I was near BBS in two WTG passes however, I did my usual third ATG pass which produced a BBS shave that was slicker than frog snot. The Cadet TP-13 TTO is a definate keeper! Considering the performance from this razor at the less than $25.00 price, it is an extremely good buy. The TP-13 is really a flashy whisker stick as well. While shaving my neck the lights over the basin was reflected off the mirrored facets on the handle and produced an interesting light show on my neck. It really sparkles and glimmers when using this razor. Todays shave proves that you don't have to invest a ton of money into your shave gear to enjoy a quality shave. :happy088:

That is a damn fine looking handle!!! I must admit, had stopped using TTO's for a long time, but the Cadet line made me fall back in love with them. The TTO-15 and Super Speed have become part of my rotation for good now.

Typical start to the day a long hot shower.
After a great shower I prepped my face with Prairie Creations pre-shave soap.
Today's featured brush Vulfix 28, it lathered up Nanny's Citrus Zinger into mounds of luxury lather.
Day three for the Rocket and Rapria duo. I normally get near perfect shaves with the Rapria. The last three days of shaves have fallen short of that expectation.
After three passes I splashed cold water on my face, rub down with alum, a splash of Krampert's.

Another fine shave by means of ...

Pre (Eucerin Moisturizing cream, warm shower)
    Omega 10083 Pro boar
    MWF
    Merkur 23c w/ Kai Stainless
Post (Cetaphil Gentle cleanser, cold water rinse)
    Master Bay Rum

Two pass DFS! I've got lots of choices, but I've no desire to change anything right now. Close, comfortable, content. Pretty vanilla ... in a good way!

    • Prep: hot washing cloth
    • Music: Tangerine Dream, Poland
    • Brush: DVH
    • Soap: Tabac
    • Razor: Gem OCMM
    • Blade: Gem stainless
    • Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
    • Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse
    SoS 2012-10-02.jpg

Repaired the DVH brush. I really missed it! Together with the Gem and some Tabac it laid the foundation for a BBS. I really love the weight and balance of the Gem. And its perfomance.

    Have a nice day!
