    Soap: Crowne & Crane Thuringian Forest
    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
    Blade: Vintage Schick Plus Platinum (Shave #4)
    Brush: Cowboy Classic/Whipped Dog Silvertip-24mmx54mm
    Aftershave: Stirling Gentleman w/Menthol

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    Crowne & Crane Thuringian Forest today. 20 seconds to load the Cowboy Classic/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Schick Plus Platinum in the Gillette NEW SC. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman w/Menthol aftershave.

    I can't find a single review of the Gibbs 16 but it's a gem. Patent 1942, I'd guess this mint example dates from the 50s. At 62g it falls between the common black handled 14 and the adjustable 15/17, but it has proper balance which neither of its siblings possess. The +/- feature it shares with the 14 has been criticized as a gimmick, but I put it to good use, mild for X/ATG on the chin and moustache areas and crown of my head, aggressive side elsewhere. A very very satisfying shave. [​IMG]

    Plisson/L'Occitane brush
    CO Bigelow SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol

    Yesterday I noted that the Tian Li blade didn't perform comfortably and thought it might be just one bad blade out of the batch that was gifted me. Tried a new blade today and, after the first couple of strokes, quit using it. Just like yesterday it was not good and very uncomfortable. I stopped and finished with my Schick I2 which gave a far superior shave. So, my thoughts on the Tian Li are that they are not for me and I won't be using them any longer. Now go enjoy your day folks

    SOTD: Early morning shave using this vintage (1830s) stub tail razor from William Greaves & Sons; L'Occitane 'Cade' soap with menthol added, custom Oscar11 boar brush, and TSD 'Iced Jasmine' aftershave milk to finish. Superb shave. Have a blessed Tuesday, men!

    Blade: Gillette TwinJector (9)
    Lather: Proraso Green
    Pre Shave: Homemade
    Brush: VDH
    AS: Brut


    An almost perfect shave, WTG/ATG, some clean up. Both passes were so smooth, like sailing on glass. After a cold water rinse, a dash of Brut, I felt like a dolphin, still not bored. I would swere the blades are getting sharper, bujt I know better. A Happy Camper here, wishing the same for all. God Bless and Happy shaving.

    Another great shave with the Rockwell and Blue Bird blade. An excellent and very smooth BBS shave in two passes with a bit of touch up.
