Fed up with people who show off luxury razors, I want to demonstrate I'm not less!

But, aside from emotional outlets, it is perfectly clear that your day would not be even remotely acceptable if you ignored the details of my shaving today. Hence, succumbing to my uncommon sense of duty, I'll tell you.

The focal point is the soap for which I am struggling in a poignant dualism: the mechanics are decidedly excellent: the usual layer of warm water induces it to a admirable yielding to the excellent bristles of a tuft two non-musical bands Manchurian badger, not as disturbing as the Candidate, but equally efficient.
This relationship (one shave stand) created a compact, moisturizing smooth lather, even though I think softer bristles like silvertip or even synthetic ones would have done great as well.

The other component of the aforementioned dualism is the fragrance, from which I dissociate myself: olfactory dissociation, not psychological.
I have already declared my lack of love for the almond scented soaps and this reminds me of Amaretto di Saronno (which the harsh commercial laws have reduced to a basic Disaronno), liqueur of inclined origins, but of a smell too sweet for my olfactory papillae.
A scent that, once lathered, disappears.

A standing ovation for the modest British razor (which I believe was the one my father used when I was a child) is of an incredible smoothness even if, compared to the one used yesterday, it is as aggressive as a T-Rex with a toothache.

Now, succumb to another of my photos, which i apologize for.

There, there, Bill. It'll be ok. Your Gillette is very nice. It's difficult being an only child. :sad024:

Excellent shave. Is there any "menthol" remaining in your puck? Mine are completely without.

That is the problem or, better, 'he' is one of the problems we are experiencing today!
If he did not bother the Austrians, they would run the country today!
Ever heard anything wrong about Austria? :D

I wasn't starting a political argument. That was my attempt at international humor.

Unfortunately not. However, as you can see, it still lathers like a beast.

    •Schick Golden 500
    •TOBS Eton College cream

2 pass neck shave (full beard again).

Razor and cream are gifts from a friend here and I could not be more impressed by both. 500 is very efficient but not bitey, exceptionally long handle and drop open cleanout makes it one of the nicest if not the nicest injector I've used. Eton College, nothing more to say than it smells just plain wonderful.

a/s: Brut Dominant, a good match.

    SOTD/weekly shaves

Shave 1: beautiful performance from the aristocrat and the 7 o clock sharp edge now on its 18th shave. Top ten is a fantastic cream with a very mild menthol effect.

    Razor: Gillette aristocrat 1948
Blade: Gillette 7 o clock sharp edge (18)
    Brush Wilkinson sword classic
    Cream top ten active
    Aftershave balm: prep

Shave 2: fantastic performance from the gillette 7 o clock and reitzer's perfect shave, a very slick soap at a fantastic price. This is the last shave with the aristocrat, possibly until 2020. It served me well over this last month and a half or so.

    Razor: gillette aristocrat 1948
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock sharp edge (19)
    Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave
    Soap: reitzer's perfect shave.
    Aftershave Balm: prep

Shave 3: First shave of the month with my Gillette super speed flare tip. What a fantastic razor, i have two of them, a made in the UK and made in the USA varient. Slightly milder than the aristocrat and perfect for speed shaves. Shave quality is comparable to an aristocrat but the build quality of the aristocrat absolutely destroys the super speeds. Everything from the plating quality down to the thickness of the metal used is better on the aristocrat, but both razors are great shaver's. Interesting to see that the UK flare tip has a better fit and finish and is slightly more agressive than the US varient.

Razor: Gillette Super Speed Flare tip (UK)
Blade: gillette 7 o clock sharp edge (20)
    Brush: Omega 49
    Soap: Arko shave stick
    Aftershave Balm: prep[IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Cold Water Rinse
    Williams Mug Shave Soap
    TOST LE
    TNNSER 3D
    Gem CS SE
    CWR
    Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Williams Mug Shave Soap face lathered well with the TOST LE Brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER 3D razor with a Gem CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Dove Men+Care Post Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
