I'm glad to see someone getting a good shave with a WCS 84, I just got the Titanium Multi 84M and am looking forward to using it :)

    Cold Water Rinse
    Ingram Shave Cream
    The Brush B-3 by Tom
    Gem MMOC
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Osage Rub

The Ingram Shave Cream lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem MMOC with a Personna GEM SS PTFE gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Menthol Monday:

    What a Grand Freeze!

    Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Minora day 13
    Bundubeard Kameelperd’s Kick SS
    Prep ASB
    Fine Snake Bite AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

Once again I wanted to show Jaco’s soaps some more love so I selected the Kameelperd for today and I’m really happy that I did. The beautiful coffee/peppermint scent filled the bathroom, the lather was so thick, rich, and slick, the menthol sensation was killer cold like a Stirling Glacial soap, and the postshave feeling was so comfortable. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave completed the job superbly. The Minora blade is now starting to dull out quite a bit but it still helped me get a perfect three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

Have a good week - be well and safe!

I had to try a few blades before getting one that worked well. The initial Treet blade didn't work out and neither did my oft-liked BiC CP. But the Astra-Platinum really delivers for me on this razor. I expect others will need the right blade as well. The razor seems to have a lot of blade exposure on one side and more mild exposure on the other side...which I found "odd". I love how the midnight black razor looks though for sure.

    Gillette SuperSpeed razor
    Minora blade
    Plisson/L'Occitane brush
    Proraso Green SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe

First time with a Minora blade and it was right nice. Very smooth, comfortable and effective. I like it. All the other parts liked each other too so my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

    Thanks, Jeff!
Loving every minute of retirement. The weather is starting to change so I'm going to have to put on socks soon. I don't remember the last time I did that. With football season going it'll be easier for me to keep track of what day of the week it is.
I hope all is well with you.

Thanks Jeff. I love the Blackbird, But it doesn't always love me back -- not a candidate for a minldess shave. :D

Razor: Gem Micromatic (AKA MMOC)- MFG-1930-41, excellent mid range, I get nice close shaves with this razor, built to last generations and was the first mass TTO introduced to the USA. This razor helped Gem MFG survive during the dirty 30's.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock The Dead Sea, unique mid range scent, excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2 band badger barber pole handle, great handle for large hands, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrub + good lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush(24mm Cashmere)wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel face wash +Razorock The Dead Sea AS + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer lotion(balm) excellent + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS, BBs + no irritation + no weepers= [IMG]Excellent shave with my MMOC with a coated Gem blade.

Two passes on 4 days growth with a tired blade. Close comfortable shave with no tugging, but not as nice as a fresh blade.

Unless I feel like seeing how far I can push this blade or am overly lazy about it, the blade should be changed before the next shave.

    Enjoy your day.
