A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...It's been while since i last added the Yintal 9306-I to my razor rotation paired together with a fresh Derby Premium it mowed through my stubble with ease feeling comfortable and smooth.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd London 2000 EdT to the pulse points..

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.

The Amalfi Basil Lemon Shaving Soap lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the PAA Bakelite Slant DE Razor with an Astra SP DE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My man Fernando makes some of the BEST soaps I’ve ever used in my entire life - this Pole Position smells exactly like CK One from Calvin Klein, the lather is so thick, rich, and protective, the tallow formula gives it great slickness, and the skincare is perfect. The Bull Dog moisturizer works wonderfully as a balm, and the Don Donato aftershave smells lovely, it has a good menthol punch, and it doesn’t interfere with my Bleu de Chanel. This morning I was able to take my time and I ended up smoother than silk - what a delightful BBS shave this was!

SOTD SATURDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 16, 2021

SWMBO has left for a quilting seminar, so yours truly decided to go lavender in a big way. My poor bride suffers migraines from this particular scent, but it’s one I’ve always been partial to. My first wife, rest her soul, loved this combination. And since today would have been my 51st anniversary, I dug out the Castle Forbes lavender and the Chatillon Lux Lavender toner! Go big or go home!

The little Klas Tornblom 4/8 punches way above its weight class. It swept away my mug stubble effortlessly. I could have stopped after two passes, but the Castle Forbes lavender just smelled so good that I went for an additional pass which really only consisted of some buffing and flatblading, which I've learned always requires a trip back to the Naniwa 12k for about 10 to 12 strokes to restore the edge.

My trusty Famex easily pulled its weight on the dome, despite an initial bit of over enthusiasm on your narrator’s part during the first pass in unknowingly removing the top of a bump on the right side of my dome resulting in a bit of red fluid. This was my first nick in quite some time, easily dealt with through the Proraso styptic gel. Nevertheless, the rest of the shave went swimmingly, leaving me smelling great and amazingly smooth from dome to shoulders.
