I bought this six years ago from a woman named Amanda who is a chemist living back in Alabama or did back in 2015. Tiki Shave Soap was the second (Prairie Creations being the first) artisan shave soap and to date still one of the best shave soaps in my den. I don't think Tiki Shave Soap is still around as I haven't seen any new scents in years and assume she went from being a stay-at-home mom to using her Chemistry degree in the business world.

The aroma strength seems just right; not overpowering which is unusual for me as I like strongly scented soaps and appears more powdery and sweeter somehow. Once lathered up the aroma got a little stronger but again not overbearing. Tiki Shave Soap was the first shave soap back in 2015 that ranked first in my den in pre and post-slickness, blade glide, and ease of lather ability, and a little went a long way. This jar I have used 34 times now and I have around 80% still in the jar. This is one of her tallow-based soaps but she also made vegan-based soaps as well. I have nine of her soaps in my den with four of them being custom soaps I asked her to make for me.

Two back to back 3 pass shaves with this '13 R41 clone is enough, methinks. Looks like I can finally see the bottom of this tub again. I fully expect it to regenerate itself tonight, though.:happy097:
    Have a great day all!

I did a 30day focus with my R41 ('11) a few months ago, and I can understand how your skin is feeling. That being said, how did I get through 30 straight shaves? It absolutely compelled me to...wait for it, ride the scallops. Yup, most of my "user errors" were caused by trying to "ride the cap" because...the face isn't flat! I would lose the angle coming around the corners, whereas when you ride the bar, you have a sensation that is easier to keep, than is it attempt to "float" your razor across your face. You can keep a very light touch and, as has been oft-mentioned on another interesting shave forum, it's almost "flat blading" (I think that's the term). Can't post without my font...:happy097:

I remember that 30 day focus with the R41, Joseph. Could I do it? Absolutely. This is a fair shaver in terms of rewarding technique. Your advice to ride the scallops is really interesting. I am usually a 'ride the cap' type of chap with most razors. What I find works with this razor is 'zero pressure'. Almost like I am barely touching the cap to the soap. Almost a feeling of negative pressure, if that makes any sense at all.
