The soap is not that cold, maybe a 4 out of 10, while the aftershave may be a five. The aroma is what I like about this one.

Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Gillette Original Scent Shave Foam. (Red)

Post:
Cold water Face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/ Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./ Alum Rub./Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel/ Brut Splash ASL. /Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

Early morning Shave,

First head shave using the Gillette foam, i made the lather slightly more wet for my head shave for extra slickness & glide however, the lather still had plenty of protection with a good post shave feel.
Another enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Baylis & Harding Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth, & smelling divine.

Tabac Tuesday's Cold Water Shave

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with Semogue 1305 Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette No Notch Super Speed and PolSilver Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

You should try the Absolute Zero soap and aftershave from Captain Nemo in Kolkata, India. That’s easily a 10/10 when it comes to menthol power. The scent is pleasant - it’s an aquatic/minty type. I love it.

This Absolute Zero tub is almost finished but thank God I have three more backups - do I ever LOVE this stuff and I have two backups of the aftershave toner. My dear brother Abir is another master artisan who works so hard to produce great quality soaps and aftershaves. The soap’s vegan formula gives it fantastic lather with plenty of slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and it’s so skin friendly. The matching aftershave toner has no alcohol, it’s got the same nice aquatic/minty scent as well as tons of menthol, and the Rubby Dubby Doo went on icy cold. Finally the Givenchy Pour Homme fragrance which smells awesome that my lovely sister-in-law gave me as a gift three years ago and I’m ready to enjoy another day of retirement. Three passes with my Wilkinson Sword/Astra Green combo gave me another splendid BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

Razor : Yaqi Sentinel 1.5mm SSP with a Chippendale SSP handle- Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on blade used. Design is similar to the Personna BBS, Wolfman WR2, this has a supper polish and machining QC is accurate I find. I like to use the Kai SS extra wide in this razor with manual alignment because of the narrower blade tabs on the Kai SS(Regular Gillette spec blade fit like a glove.). I have used riding the bar & riding the cap methods and riding the cap seems more efficient and comfortable IMO with this razor. Had a comfortable close shave this morning!
Blade : Kai SS (3) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. This blade is unique because it is a little wider than standard Gillette spec blades giving a little more blade feel.
Soap : Gillette pure cream, nice scent with excellent lather qualities. Makes great ubber lather with other soap remnants.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud clubman AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a excellent close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Sentinel 1.50 with a Kai SS extra wide blade.
