DE SOTD, Wednesday, OCtober 16th 2024

Razor : Gillette long comb Canadian variant with a Gillette fat handle. Mfg 1930's, mid range.Very patined over the years.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver (2) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Ogallala bayrum sage and cedar, nice scented bayrum with excellent lather qualities. Lately I use the puck as stick and apply that way, results are very good with a synthetic also.
Brush : Yaqi "Ferrari" 24mm boar bristle knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala bayrum with Sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gillette long comb with a Polsilver SI blade.

A special day today…it´s my father´s birthday…my father would have been 84 years today, 4 years since he passed away.

So, this shave was for him. I miss and love you every single day. Take care from us from above.

The shave went very well. The soap has a very nice scent lather was good. The razor is very thoroughly fella which shaved me BBS in 2,5 passes.

To round out the shave i used a „leathery“ scented Aftershave because my Dad loved his leather jackets so much.

Another successful close comfortable with the Mühle R41..Recently I've had some sublime shave from the assertive R41, this morning was no exception. A great shave to end my shaving week.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

Today's shave was with my 47 Gem Flying Wing with a Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with my Jayaruh #47 Synthetic brush. I did two passes and topped it off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Truthfully and honestly this Matas soap from Denmark is a pretty decent soap in the sense of it lathers very well and it gives a pretty good postshave feeling, but it hardly has any scent. The Bull Dog moisturizer works great as a balm because it’s so soothing. The Obsession fragrance is quite nice - it’s been in my den for ages. Three passes gave me a helluva nice BBS shave that was really enjoyable!

Razor : Yaqi Sentinel 1.5mm 316 SSP with a Yaqi tear drop 316SSP handle. Mfg 2022, mild to tame mid range.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI(3) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Tabac puck, a flowery milder scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi"Ever Helpful" 22mm 2band badger knot. Designed for a great scrubber IMO with a dense short loft with soft tips.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Sentinel razor with a Polsilver SI blade. Great shave this morning.
