This morning with my 47 No-notch Gillette Supper Speed with a Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 (19). The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with my Jayaruh #47 Synthetic brush. I did two passes and topped it off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD, Friday, October 18th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP SE 50mm with a Yaqi Chippendale 316SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on AC blades or gap shim used. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : KAI Captain titan mild (2) sharp and smooth.Top tier blade in 50mm AC type.
Soap : Tabac puck. Flowery scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 22mm synthetic. Great little brush.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock (AKA=Italian Barber) Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE with a Kai CTMP blade.

Friday morning’s Grand Freeze:

Any colder than this and I think my face would have disintegrated - this Glacial Wintergreen soap and witch hazel are frigging LETHAL. It didn’t take even two seconds for my face to start feeling the freeze each pass felt colder than the previous one. The Gold Bond moisturizer doesn’t lack menthol either and is it ever soothing while the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel took this freeze to another level and gave my eyes a bit of a beating. (In a good way of course!) Three passes did the job for me - another magnificent BBS shave and now the Astra Green blade is retired!

Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Gillette Skin Ultra Sensitive Shave Cream.
Blade: Gillette London Bridge. (D1)
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head./Schmidt R10 Handle.
Razor: Gallant II Platinum. (Head) - (D3)

Post:

(Face & Head Shave)

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Maiden Shave with the Gillette Skin Cream which was a birthday gift in June from family and friends which I've just got round to trying out.

The verdict?. Absolutely superb, at first glance I thought it was brushless, It's a thirsty shave cream, adding only a small dollop to the mixing bowl with a few drops of water it created a slick protective lather in a short space of time, dipping the tips in water in between each pass. Overall a very acceptable shave cream, scent wise it has a pleasant clean nondescript fragrance with a small amount of menthol feel to the skin that didn't dry out on my skin in between passes leaving a good post shave feel...Superb stuff!.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.
