Missed yesterday, lots going on. But today was very nice indeed. All the parts liked each other a lot and a very nice/comfortable shave was had. My face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Razor : Razorock Lupo.72, Mfg 2021>, mid range. Excellent machining and finish + design for some superb shaving.
Blade : Gillette Astra SS (1) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : TOBS herbal Sandalwood cream, nice rich herbal scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi"Barber pole" 24mm 2band badger. Hard to beat this excellent badger brush for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a blue Astra SS blade. (very hard to get a better shave than like this morning.)

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick Stick Injector Razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Now almost all TSD posts are showing up in my e-mail. Weird. It's a problem for The Help Desk, that's for sure.

All PAA Bay Rums have zero clove....I like THAT persuasion. Never tried the one from Captin's Choice(or ANY CC for that matter).

Hi Gary-y'know, a Gentleman reviewer said he believes Gentleman has better tobacco than Tabac itself. Maybe he means a better FORM of tobacco.

 

not sure..the gentleman scent is a more realistic tobacco scent than the tabac is..imo.at least to my nose,or i haven't smelled a tobacco brand that that smells like tabac..

 

It could be that Tabac has the kind that is more mellow than some. I haven't yet tried Tabac. By "more mellow"I mean, it doesn't smell like cigaraette tobacco.

 

Boy, am I gladthe FINE was their Platinum, not the Latigo, which I have.

Yesterday I received this Citrus Verde soap and aftershave set that was created for the South Florida Wetshavers Society and my goodness is it ever awesome. The scent is a lovely, refreshing citrus, the soap’s a pleasure to lather up with, and it’s so skin friendly. The Bull Dog moisturizer works great as a balm, and the Citrus Verde aftershave smells as beautiful as the soap, it gives a nice menthol tingle, and it pairs beautifully with the Eau Sauvage edt. Three passes gave a superb BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

Razor : Razorock Old type OC with a Yaqi Rocket 316 SS handle. Mfg 2015>, mild to very tame mid range. Great little razor head for travel and daily use.
Blade : Gillette Astra SS(2) sharp and smooth.
Soap : TOBS herbal Sandalwood cream, Very nice herbal scented Sandalwood with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi"Moka Express" 26mm husky knot. Trial test brush I bought from Yaqi on Aliexpress months ago. Very nice brush for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel soap residual cleanse +Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR old type razor with a Astra SS Blue blade.
