Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: HWF Lanolin Shaving Soap. (no.3)
Blade: Shark Super Stainless. (D2)
Razor: FaTip Grande.

Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./.Baylis & Harding Black Pepper & Ginseng ASB./Ard Al Zafraan Oud 24 Hours EdP.

Relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Everything in my shave set up worked together excellently resulting in a enjoyable close shave with comfortable no errors to report.

The Shark SS work well for me with the efficient FaTip Grande.

Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Ard Al Zafraan Oud 24 Hours EdP to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor and the J.A. Henckels Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Here my Sunday Shave (27.10.2024)


Razor: Rockwell 6S // Blade: Gillette green // Soap: Sudsy Soapery Pumpkin Spice // Brush: PAA Solar Flare // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Floid Genuine

As i searched my den for a soap which i did not use in a loooooong time i stumbled across the Pumpkin Spice from Sudsy Soapery. So i thought to give it a go. The Rockwell has not been used often this year so this would been a great companion.

The Rockwell did a fantastic job with the blade. Very smooth, gentle and thoroughly. Much better as the shave with the Primo 2 on Wednesday. 2,5 passes and i was done.

Pumpkin Spice, a great great scent. You can definitely pick up Pumpkin mixed with lightly earthy notes and some sweetness. Maybe hints of clove and gingerbread. The lather was rich and extremely slick and protective.

After rinsing my face i applied the Witch Hazel and when this has dried i used a healthy dose of the Floid. Nice contrast with it´s powdery, orange notes. No stinging, just the refreshing feeling of menthol and great skincare.

A 10 out of 10

The tallow version is a treasure. I heard comments that the new non tallow one is not that great.

Truthfully and honestly this Cold Spices soap and aftershave smell a LOT like the Shulton Old Spice but the menthol sort of blurs the scent a little. The soap is a bit of a challenge to lather because it’s EXTREMELY thirsty but if you leave your brush relatively wet then it’ll give you excellent lather that’s so rich as well as super slick, the menthol sensation is not overwhelming but it’s definitely there, and it’s pretty decent in the skincare department. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me plenty of postshave soothing along with a good menthol feeling, and the Cold Spices aftershave went on really chilly - it smells so much like the Shulton Old Spice but again, the menthol has a slight impact on the scent. I received this soap and aftershave as a birthday gift from a very close friend of mine in New York City. Would I buy them again? Hmmmmmmmm…..I don’t think so. Nevertheless this was a very nice and enjoyable three pass BBS shave.

I’m a big fan of Tabac. I have both, I use both. Both are awesome.
If I had to pick one, I would choose the new formula simply because I prefer a less residual post shave feel.
