    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Bulldog Peppermint & Eucalyptus Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
    Brush: Unbranded Chinese Horsehair.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Razorock "What The Puck? !" Orange Sunrise.
    Blade: Feather Hi Stainless. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head./Schmidt R10 Handle.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Duru Mandarin Cologne./Wilco Men's Moisturiser.

    Greetings,

    Relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The mild Yaqi DOC Mellon benefited wonderfully from the assertive Feather Hi stainless, cutting through my face stubble superbly.

I bloomed the top of the soap in tepid water for 5 minutes in the shaving bowl, then loaded the brush up with the bloom water mixed up the lather adding water to the tips of the brush and was rewarded with incredibly citrusy scented rich, creamy lather with a very good slickness and a wonderful post shave feeling to my face. I forgot how good Razorock soaps perform.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Wilco Men's Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

    Oud Sunday
TOBS Oud, Proraso Barbe Dure with Oud oil, Oud Malak parfum spray
Razorock Lupo, back to back handle testing, prefer the heavier brass one definitely
Schick blade (2), Chubby 2 still shedding as you can see, even after 20 - 30 shaves
DFS rather than BBS with this mild razor

Thanks for the great post. I like the GC-84 and the KAI SS a lot too. You could be noticing the close shaves lately because your technique is still improving little by little, and now it's coming together in a noticeable way.
    That's a thing that happens.

Sunday morning - a very nostalgic shave:

    King C. Gillette Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 2
    Noxzema SC
    Prep ASB
    Floid Vigoroso AS Splash

Believe it or not I would give up all my soaps and creams if I could keep on getting this Noxzema cream - this stuff was all I used for so many years. When I first started shaving at the age of 14 my Dad, of dearly loved and cherished memory gave me this 50s Super Speed and this cream and for so long I never looked back. I always loved its scent, the way it lathers, its nice menthol sensation, as well as its soothing feeling. The Prep balm smells exactly like the Noxzema, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave has such a beautiful old school barbershop scent not to mention how icy cold it feels. Three slow, delightful passes gave a brilliant BBS shave that was so enjoyable!

Have a great Sunday - be well and stay safe![IMG]

Sunday Schick shave, October 6th 2024

Razor : Schick i2 hydro magic injector. Mfg 1954-57, mild to tame mid range. Well built and stamping technology would be very hard to even duplicate today. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick (11) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. I tossed the blade after this shave!
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, nice scented lather of lavender with a touch of (mint?)with excellent lather qualities. Lavender will always be in shave rotation because of its health qualities and protection it offers IMO(I have been using different lavender soaps and there is something about it that protects slightly better than other soaps has been my observations when lather is prepared properly (not sure how to prove those observations).
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Very nice boar brush for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 8.5.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=[IMG] Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick i2 injector with a Schick injector blade.
