You know, you had your chance. Five or six years ago I sent you 1.5 ounces of Heartwood shave cream and USPS stated it was delivered.

 

Oh man, I don't recall seeing that(course I'm not denying you sent it). Did it look similar to the regular size, just the tiny version?

No. I poured the shave cream into a small tub I picked up at the Dollar Store. If I remember correctly I also included some samples from Blackship Grooming. I track all shipments via USPS, Fedex and UPS as I've not received packages over the years, so I ensure that the items I send or receive are delivered. Maybe someone helped themselves to our package. At the time, I thought it was strange you never posted a SOTD with the Heartwood but I thought maybe the scent was not for you after all.

DE SOTD, Wednesday, October 10th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Slope 316 torsional slant with a Yaqi Brass nickel hollow handle. Mfg 2022>, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining and machined adequate finish for my shaving needs. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna Red (2) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Ach Brito lavanda cream, nice bright lavender scent with excellent lather qualities. Bought some more recently.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm brown whiskers fan knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very rare brush Yaqi made to test and sold, one of my favorites in synthetic!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito lavanda with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Slope with a Personna red blade.

What a stunning shave this has been.

2,5 passes full of joy. Everything matched well together. The soap with it´s sophisticated Tobacco and Vanilla scent, which is manly and cozy at the same time. It has been lathered up with the X2L by Simpson.

The razor, smooth and gentle, took care of the whiskers.

Witch Hazel as Aftershave and as scent the legendary Zino by Davidoff. Couldn ´t get ANY better.

10 out of 10.
