The one in my post photo is the new sensitive formation & new scent, there are another two on offer the blue tub and black tub which are for the normal-skin type which to my nose the scent are very similar to one another.

For today’s shave I took out the Horizon as I put her through the paces and getting ready for the next Rick release from HAGS I broke out The Rebirth.

I started the Horizon out on a 6 today. The first thing I noticed was the razor felt better balanced in my hand this go round. Not sure why but it felt much easier to maneuver and more nimble. The 6 was a nice starting point as I was DFS after two passes. Nice smooth, easy strokes. And not a noticeable issue. After the third pass I was almost BBS. A few cleanups and viola! There she is!

The HAGS I’m sure assisted in such an amazing shave as they always do not only bring the amazing scents and strengths but the amazing cushiony lather!

I have really enjoyed my time with the Horizon. I just may get my own. It would be in titanium as lighter would make this an even better shave I think. This razor lives up to the hype and to the Durdan name.

ASB = TOBS Royal forest
ASL = Proraso Barbe Dure with oud
Scent = Oud Malak, not my wife’s favourite (she don’t like it at all) but I find it very pleasant with a grapefruit overtone

The Wizamet surprised me at day 6 and although still crisp is showing signs of fading, needing more strokes to get the desired smoothness. I has performed well and has deserved its retirement to the blade bin.

No damage, thought I felt a few scrapes but the alum was silent, go figure!

The VanDer Hagen Luxury Shave Soap was face-lathered well with the SlimGEM Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the German Travel Razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Aqua Velva 5 in 1 Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wow, are these Biolijf soaps ever terrific - this Autumn one has a very nice bay rum type of scent, I believe it’s vegan based but I could be wrong, it gives excellent lather that’s really rich, thick, slick and protective as well as a soothing postshave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer is so good as a balm, and the Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave smells so old school in a beautiful barbershop way - do I ever love it. (The wife has a different opinion!) These Perma Sharp blades are fabulous blades - this one helped me get a super duper three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!
