Again, a very quick shave, yet it turned out to be a good one. This Compass Ice Energy is a Bulgarian cream which I received from my good friend Stefan (herzi) a while back. It lathers very well, it smells quite nice, and it has good skincare. I wouldn't call it icy, but there is a small cooling sensation from it. The Eveline Aloe gel is awesome. Sorry, no photos today! ;) :D

    Lea Shave Stick (no lanolina)
    Face:Muhle R41 Grande"Fang"/Super-Max Super Platinum (3)

    warm water rinse
    Monster Block Alum
    warm water rinse
    Thayer's Original WH
Pinaud Clubman Musk mixed with a small amount of 444

Today I had the best shave I ever had from "Fang".I had better than DFS on my first pass and really could have stopped there.I did a ATG pass and I hardly felt the alum.I almost did a head shave with "Fang" but decided not to press my good fortune and used the G1.I have to say those Schicks are perfect for headshaves, very easy to get the right angle.

I decided to try bowl lathering again to keep my skills up (I've been face lathering for a while now).

Pre-shave: Hot shower, Shave Secret Preshave oil (to keep my prep good while I made a lather and combed my hair)

Shave: Razor Rock di Peppino Soap, Vie Long shaving brush, Merkur 11C, Personna Lab Prep blade [day 5]

    Post: Nivea After Shave balm

The shave was good 3 passes BBS. But I was a little disappointed about the lather. Usually the Razor Rock lasts longer, but after the 2nd pass I had to dip back into the soap for a little extra lather as it had become wispy and light, with no cushion and little glide. All said though, I was glad to practice bowl lathering.

Tuesday's Shower and Shave for 10/23/2012

Day started with a long hot shower. While showering the Vulfix 28 was dipping it bristles in warm water. After showering I prep my face with Prairie Creations pre-shave soap. I chose Taylor of Bond Street Avocado for today's soap. To my surprise the soap had turned to a liquid, definitely a mystery. The liquid soap did lather but not as effectively when it was solid. Day three for the pairing of the Super Adjustable and Voshkod. Personally the Voshkod is always a great and consistent performer, the shaves are always smooth.
Three passes and few touch-ups, brought a nice smooth DFS.

Typical post shave routine warm water rinse, cold water splash. A generous splash of Superior 70, crowning a great shave.

Really comfortable and enjoyable shave. If it wasn't for those few stubbles round my jawline.... So it stays a satisfying DFS++.

    Have a good day!

Preparation:Warm water splash + KMF shave cream pre-shave
    Razor: Cadet TP-26 Open Comb
    Blade:Super-Max Super Platinum (3)
    Brush:: Semogue 1800
Cream/Soap:Kiss My Face Lavender & Shea shave cream
    Lathering Technique:Bowl Lathered
Aftershave:Cold Water Splash / Clubman / Unrefined Shea Butter

Third day with the Super-Max Super Plat in the Cadet TP-26, continued good results.

Today, I re-tried KMF Lavender, this time adding a bit more product and got a much better, read very good lather. It bowl lathered quite easily with the Semogue 1800, not a brush that I think of as a bowl lathering brush. Super nice.BBS shave.

Todays shave was done with my gillette superspeed, astra SP blade, Derby menthol cream

Aftersahve was Alum block, Thayers witch hazel, and Gillette Cool wave after shave.

The Derby mnthol shave cream was a nice cooling effect cream, and I think I will continue to use it as it produced a very nice shave.
