This is what the bottom of a Tabac jar looks like, for those who've never seen one. Tabactober comes to an end with the usual outstanding shave. I finished up with Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade for the welcome menthol cool, great skincare and scent.
    Prep: Van Yulay PSO
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: Stirling Boar

Man alive, my face is frozen to the max and BBS after three passes with the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap. I enjoyed every minute of this shave and the Glacial Eskimo Unscented balm went on frigidly-soothing, as well as comfortably-moisturizing. The Arctique nearly flattened me - that's how cold it felt, but I'm tough enough to take it and enjoy it!

    Have a great week, folks!

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick E2 injector
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Lather: Arko shave stick
Post: Witch hazel, Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Nice shave with Arko this morning. Good lather, probably the best I've achieved with the Arko stick. It needs a good bit of water. A couple of weepers on my chin from the E2 but otherwise a nice shave on a rainy Monday.

    Enjoy your day!

I can't deny I enjoy a Batman movie, but generally DC movies are less fun altho they seem to have serialized to TV successfully. Marvel has figured out how to capitalize on the two hour format, and to string the stories into a cohesive arc.

SOTD 10/21/2017 Another GRAND PACIFIC SHAVE
    -and Menthol Monday!

RAZOR: Pacific Quality Stainless DE Razor (Handle)
BLADE: Pacific Double Edge blade - 5th shave with this razor & blade
PREP: hot water wash with Ivory Soap and rinse
PRE SHAVE: Rite Aid RENEWAL skin cleansing cream
SHAVE CREAM: Pacific Caffeinated SHAVING CREAM - COOLING spearmint
BRUSH: SheaMoisture Ultimate Shave Brush - black badger knot. Plenty of rich lather for multiple passes.
    POST SHAVE: NONE
AFTER SHAVE: Gillette After Shave Gel - smells like their Cool Wave After Shave
    BALM: NONE NEEDED
    PacificDE2_SheaMoisture_PacificSC_Gillette.jpg
The Pacific DE Razor is known elsewhere as the $1 Dollar Tree Razor.
I admit that I am fascinated with this cheap razor. It is the cheapest razor I have used - besides disposables, or freebies.
I took out the generic DE blade, and cleaned up the TTO head with a toothbrush, to inspect for rust, wear or any issues.
It looks fine after 4 shaves, including the blade. I hand stropped the blade with a little Bevel Pre-shave Oil, and put a drop of same on the TTO post.
The TTO action was not the smoothest on this razor, and really benefitted from the oil. Now it works quiet & smooth.

Got a great 3 pass BBS shave with touchups. Nice razor - CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE!
No issues with the shave or razor. As mentioned before, it is a bit light weight for my tastes, but it shaves great.

I am really liking this Pacific Co. Shaving cream. The scent is good, and the cooling menthol/caffeine works well.
Enjoy your week - enjoy your shaves - if you can.
    God Bless.

    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Barbasol Brisk A/S w/added menthol

Brrrrr! All that mentholated stuff made for a great face freeze this morning. Also, 4th shave on the Sharp Star and it was just fine. Smooth, effective and comfortable. I usually only get 3 shaves per blade so getting a #4 is great. I like these blades. So, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Mamba (Halo handle), Super Max BDT. With two shims the Mamba is still a very mild razor but managed just fine a two pass plus BBS head shave which is what I expect from a mild razor. Next head shave will try without the shims.[IMG]
