    I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #229 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gillette New Standard Tuckaway razor and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Tonight's shave was with a Japanese Razor. I had an ultra smooth, 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. Zero Issues.

    Razor- Japanese "Feon 172".
    Brush- B400 By Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Old Spice Nautical Collection.

    I decided to put off the next carbon blade shenanigan type shave in favor of a few days of OC nirvana. I chose the NEW LC with a Russian Sharp Star blade. MWF and the JR54 for a ridiculously easy and rich lather set this shave up for total success and two passes and a slight touch up later the baby settled in for the night. I think after fighting through less than optimal trial shaves the first one back always feels like the best I've ever had. But, with this hardware/software combo it's hard to get it wrong.

    Alum was totally quiet, I'm gleefully opening a couple of packages I received today that I'll share soon, and all is well with the world. I even have tomorrow off. Hope your week is off to a great start!
