A fantastic shave this morning with the older version of Proraso Green soap. Hey, I have no real complaints about it because it still lathers very well and gives awesome menthol power. Very few balms are as cooling and soothing for sensitive skin as the Anherb, and I absolutely love the Floid Classic aftershave. ;) :D

    Razor: Weishi 9306
    Blade: Merkur (day 2)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Cream: Musgo Real Classic
    Passes: 3 (WTG, XTG, ATG)
Post: cold water, alum, Proraso blue cream

Second shave with the Merkur blade and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. After three passes and minor touch up it left me with a great shave, but there was a lot of tugging on the first pass. I didn't shave yesterday and everything did feel a little longer then normal for skipping a day. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

    Hot shower
    Shave Secret PSO
    Gillette Red Tip
    Personna Lab Blue (2)
    VDH boar
    SRD Patchouli soap
    T&H Grafton AS balm

Very nice shave today. Second time with the Red Tip and I think it's going to become a weekend razor. I didn't nick myself but it's a bit aggressive to be using while watching the clock and getting ready for work. Better to use it when I'm not in a hurry.

    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Green SS (2)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Pure Badger
    Aftershave: Aspen
    Post: Nivea Post Shave Balm

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

2nd shave with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Green SS in the Slim. I used my Palmolive Stick this morning. Today’s shave was better than the first one with the Greenie. They did well. The shave was close and smooth. I finished with Aspen and Nivea Post Shave Balm.

    THURSDAY
First Time with an SE Razor

    a. PRE: Hot shower, Shea Face Wash, Homemade Citrus PSO
    b. RAZOR: EverReady 1912 SE
    c. BLADE: Gem Blue Star (Day 1)
    d. BRUSH: Lijun 2-band Badger
    e. LATHER: RazoRock Cumba Cheech Soap
    f. SHAVE: Two passes plus touch-up
g, POST: Cold water rinse, Alum Block, Ogallala BR AS, Shea butter balm

My first go with a SE razor (Thanks, Ryan/PlanofMan!) this morning. First thing I notice after loading the blade: Plenty of blade exposure! Like many DEs, angle is critical—perhaps even more so with this SE razor. Fortunately, it isnt' too difficult to find and begin mowing down whiskers. A very audible and aggressive shaver. After two passes, and after some challenges shaving under the nose and around some tight curves, I had such a close shave that a 3rd pass was deemed unnecessary. For me, the biggest difficulty was simply getting acclimated to the size of this relatively small razor—a DIMINUTIVE handle with a large head! Overall, a DFS+ with this vintage razor! :happy088:

My landlady "forgot" to pay her electric bills for about half a year before I moved in, so the electric company cut off my electricity yesterday. That resulted in a cold water shower followed with a wonderful cold water shave 3 pass BBS, irritation free shave. I love the Fatip more and more each time I shave with it! And the new Semogue although not broken in creates tons of lather :D

Dorco's were a hit and miss for me when I used them, sometimes they worked great sometimes they failed miserably. I hope they improved on the QC area

Things were going beautifully with my shave this morning when - with no advanced warning - a spot under my bottom lip started bleeding from a weeper I never even felt. That weeper was the only thing wrong with the shave, and the only reason I didn't continue on to a 3rd pass. DFS+ results from two passes, to be sure.

A delightful shave this morning before leaving the month of October behind. The time is flying by and there is so much to do. The best way to settle the anxiety of the oncoming winter weather is to enjoy a relaxing shave with some nice scuttle warmed Musgo SC and finish with the figgy scent of the Dune Pour Homme ASL . Afterwards a flask of Cream Sherry, sit in your favorite easy chair with your feet up and, relax. Winter doesn't come till tomorrow. :shaver
