I used the Maggard slant on an iKon SE handle for some added weight. It feels nicely balanced, though not great deal heavier than the stock handle. The shave was very smooth and pleasant. The Bronze Shadow made optimal lather from Cologne Russe and made the three passes very easy and drama free. I finished up with a splash of Reserve Cool followed by Cologne Russe aftershave.

After poor experience with this Razor earlier in the week, when I confirmed that the NOS blade used was not delivering a decent Shave. Dispensed with blade entirely, and loaded up with a "Chick ". Like Chalk & Cheese ,
today the Razor performed as it should, smooth and agile, delivering an irritation free close shave.

    Razor: Schick L1 injector
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Stirling Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Barbershop aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Nice, easy shave with this combination again. The Stirling products are top-notch and the L1 is a great razor. Feeling pretty smooth after one pass and generous touch-up.

    Have a great day!

Nice shave to start a Thursday. Hadn't used an Asco blade for awhile and sorry I haven't. Smooth, close and comfortable. The Proraso Blue worked well but I really don't like the scent at all. It goes back on the shelf, way in the back. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Today's shave knowing this house and all this stuff may be gone tomorrow. I choose some stuff thinking that if its my last, then i put my best foot forward. I pray for those in the path of this storm. May the Lord protect them and give them peace.
    I used:
Hot water wash with nivea mens face wash and a washcloth
My granddad's Rubberset brush restored by @GDCarrington/ custom two band finest
    Route 66 Sweeney Todd (bombed)
    Gillette GinD Tuckaway
    Ladas (1)
    Route 66 Sweeney Todd balm
My shave today was near optimal.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20161006_084653_resized.jpg

SOTD: Another big Sheffield Steel shave this morning; Stirling 'Orange Chill' providing the glide; Wostenholm & Son 7/8" French-point, TGN 24mm Synthetic/Olive wood handle, and 'BlackRiver' bay rum to finish. Three-pass über-smooth…:)

This morning's shave was very, very close and smooth but other than the intense menthol sensation and rich lather that the Synergy Frost_byte soap provides, I didn't really enjoy it. For one thing, I find there's a lack of cushion and blade glide with this soap as well as a bit of a drying effect. The only reason I didn't throw away this stuff is because I feel that it's still worth using until it's finished. The Penguin gave me a wonderful freeze which felt so good. :happy088: :happy088:
