I recall liking the Viking Sword last time I used one.

We have a bit of Indian summer here this week, so here's the Tuesday shave plan:

    prep-Nivea 4 Men ENERGY Bodywash(in warm shower)
    shave-Williams Mug Soap
razor-the blue one that pivots from Gillette(they call it a Sensor 2)
    A.S.-Aqua Velva Ice Blue***

***I'll have a looksee(or a FEEL)of the WIlliams/AV combination(the Williams box kindly suggests using AV, as we know).

The first shave with the rather beastly Merkur Vision 2000. Really enjoyed it.

I'm probably one of the few that prefers Alcolado Glacial over Osage Rub but both are eye opening AS splashes.

Never heard of Alcolado Glacial, but I'm set to try Osage.

Shave 27. A triple header. I started with a newly acquired J.R. Torrey. Lousy reduction on the first pass no matter what I tried. So I moved on to my other J.R. Torrey that I recently refreshed after a disappointing first shave a while ago. Not much better. So after half of a pass I switched to the ERN which @Billyfergie honed for me early on this journey. Yup, that was the ticket. Nice finish - barely a whisper from the Alum. :happy088:

    Hot water prep
    AOS Lavender PSO
    Haslinger Aloe Vera Shave Soap
    Savile Row 3824
    J.R. Torrey 9/16
    J.R. Torrey 5/8
    ERN 1934 6/8
    Osma Alum Block
    AOS Lavender After Shave Balm

    Razor: Timeless OC w/Hempel Ti
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (3) / Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Simpsons CH1 Chubby Best Badger
    Soap: Route 66 Frozen Margarita
    Aftershave: Booster Iced Lime
The Wilkinson wasn't holding up tonight so I replaced it after 2 passes. The GSB is one of my favorite blades. I usually have good results with the Wilkinson in my vintage Gillette razors.
Not to worry. The Frozen Margarita work perfectly as usual. The addition of the Hempel Ti handle helped to make this shave a DFS.

Thanks Andrew. There hasn't been any Trout in the river since the Richie's Feed and Seed had a fire years ago. Lot of base. pickerel, and pike though.

I actually prefer Osage Rub because it's slightly cooler but Alcolado Glacial (to me) smells nicer!
